Lovely quiet location

This place is all about the location. There is a magical quality to its situation. To wake up in the morning to the views of the lush green mountain tops with whispering clouds was out of this world. The elephant sanctuary adds extra excitement and anticipation. We got very lucky. Breakfast didn’t have a huge range of choices but was generous. Staff try really hard to please with limited English. Finally the transfer of luggage from the banks of river to the top of the hill was also appreciated.
The rooms are tired and the toilets being so close to the sleeping space felt grimy. Our original room smelt of the toilet. We also had a problem with the door. However, the management moved us to a better room without hesitation.

Excellent staff & restaurant. The view is amazing, the balconies are very beautiful. We loved the swimming pool, which have the best view. The room was gorgeous, with a very cool wooden style.
Ask for a room close to the swimming pool if you struggle with stairs.

Delicious meals, evening 4 course Lao meal easily catered for vegetarians breakfast esp fresh mango, homemade yoghurt, jams and all served with stunning view across the Mekong. Extremely helpful manager and friendly staff. Would highly recommend a few days here exploring the Elephant park (rescue elephants) and the village. Great conservation effort with elephant park, local medical clinic and waste awareness. Thank you team.
Easy walk into town and the boat pier. It was a fabulous3 day stay
