This family owned hotel made us feel like we were locals. The kids loved the bunk beds. The kitchenette made it easy to have breakfast and snacks in our room. The yard area had toys so the kids could play, they even learned a little Greek from new friends!

The location is excellent and the apartments are set in a beautiful garden. Breakfasts are substantial and really well presented. The family are so welcoming and friendly. Rooms are very clean. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it

Welcome was brief but nice, but after this, no further interaction with the family over our 14-day stay. Location great and well maintained garden areas and topiary.
By far, the biggest asset at Castello Verde is Natalia, the lovely housekeeper/cleaning lady - incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient.
The Booking.com property description states breakfast, bar, and rooftop pool, all of which seem very misleading information compared to what is available.
There is no way to socialise with other guests, no offer/option to add or order: breakfast, coffee, or bar drinks, so it is quite isolating. However, other guests seemed to have breakfast included 🤔?
Our biggest issue by far was the ill-fitting doors & locks, which consequently resulted in rattling and banging echoing down the whole corridor at all hours as people arrive & checkout - not their fault, but some simple maintenance would resolve this.
The last 5 days of our stay, we endured an incredibly selfish, noisy, and disruptive family in rooms 16, 17, and 7 who thought they'd booked the whole floor - no consideration for others. We ended up shutting the outer door between 8 & 9 to try and filter some of their noise in the mornings from 7:30am.
Unfortunately, our experience & issues above mean we will not be returning and have already booked elsewhere for next July.
