Beautiful location with a fantastic view, especially from the terrace. The property has a unique atmosphere, is very charming, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, and the location was perfect for exploring Porto.

Room 202 was very well designed, spotlessly clean, bed was amazing and the sheets and duvet absolutely fabulous. Breakfast was good but you can’t get it before 8:30. Photos cleverly taken but not reality. Only one light in bedroom.
Poor communication. No staff. Location difficult to get taxi with cases in. Photographs cleverly taken. Outside noise There was nobody at reception after 3pm which is the time you check in luckily we had somebody from housekeeping around to help. They don’t reply to your messages I asked about a boat and the gourmet dinner before we travelled got nothing back. Breakfast doesn’t start till 8:30 so no good when you need to be out to take a tour. Asked about a takeaway earlier got nothing back because reception staff don’t start work until 9am and then she was too
late and too busy to respond. The next day no reception staff at all.
We paid for a room with a balcony expecting the views it shows in the picture and we got a balcony too narrow to have any chairs looking straight at a wall.
Above they are constructing a new bridge across the river so our first morning we were awakened by banging steel noises from 7am . The following morning woke to children crying and it sounded like they were wearing clogs as the noise travelled through our ceiling.
We were so looking forward to our stay but my expectations were too high due to their amazing photography and automated communication. Reality is something different. Such a shame because it has been beautifully renovated with lots of attention to detail. They need to have full time reception team or give you a proper information pack.
