Charming hotel in bucolic countryside with heavenly gardens. The hosts are sweet and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The mattresses are divine. Short drive to the beach and GR for hiking. Haven't stayed anywhere so relaxing in years.

charming garden

Like the location between Cancales and Saint Malo. It not far from the Mont Saint Michel neither. The property is very good maintained. The garden is marvelous. Staff is friendly and polite.

The small house we stayed is not big. There are too much furnitures and things we don’t need them as guest. It makes the rooms are much smaller and not convenient. Internet doesn’t work in the room and terrasse area. As the room rare is not cheap, internet should be good connected!

A very disappointing end to our holiday.

The Hostellerie is, indeed, a fine property in a nice location. The house itself is well kept, all clean and tidy, with quality furnishings, some very interesting artefacts and paintings.

Our room - a double - was tiny. Being generous, we could say that it was “small but perfectly formed”. The bed was very comfy and all the bits and bobs in the en-suite worked. That said, the room was so dimensionally challenged as to have no space for comfortable chairs in which to sit, no room even for tea/coffee making facilities and finding somewhere for our cases was undoubtedly a challenge. We looked to discuss this with the staff member who showed us to the room and were told - “well it is what you booked.” C’est la vie, we guess! Breakfast is offered at €15 per head and does not represent great value, sad to say. A small measure of fruit salad, yoghurt, the offer of an egg and, of course, the usual breads, jams etc., do not a great breakfast make. We enjoyed much superior offerings in simple Chambres d’hotes on our tour.

A delight

This was my second time in this beautiful Auberge. The garden are a joy and a perfect backdrop to relax and take time-out with a book and nature. you are also 7 minutes away from Cancale and the best sea food in Brittany.

I have stayed there in April and early June and there was nothing I didn’t like. However with climate change I note that the Auberge desert have air conditioning and that would be a concern in hotter months.

We would not stay in this hosteller again.

Breakfast was excellent. Service good at breakfast.

There was no service after 8pm and it appeared to be difficult to get service at all during the day. With no tea /coffee facilities in the room and the location, this was unacceptable. We had to change to stay only 3 nights instead of the 4 nights booked. They refused to reduce the charge and we had to pay for the 4th night.

Lovely stay for several nights, in a nice and peaceful gardenarea

Lovely situated in a calm area, wide garden with several nice sitting and relaxing spots, close to Cancale and other sights in the area. Felt like living in an old manor! Helpful staff for restaurant tipps, as the hotel itself serves only breakfast.

Carpet in the room is in my opinion nowadays not too appreciated any more.

Pretty little hotel near Cancale

Small hotel with a very pretty garden and quiet location. The receptionist suggested and booked a restaurant for us for the evening meal on the point at Cancale which was excellent and had very good views of the rocks and incoming tide.

Missed the sign on the road, so perhaps a bit more indication as to it's location would be helpful.

Amazingly quant boutique hotel with gorgeous scenery and ambience. If you have a car, it is the best place to stay. The best breakfast for only 12 euros. Every single worker was sweet, nice and helpful.

No one spoke English well. But it wasn't a problem.

Our room was very small and only had a bath tub but no shower. Also, the estate is large and beautiful but there are no outside areas to relax in the shadows during a hot day

Very beautiful site, nice romantic atmosphere, including the rooms, very clean and quiet. The Staff is kind and attentive. Gorgeous garden and green area, with plenty of flowers. Private free parking is a pleasant service.

Location a bit outside of the main attraction sites, parking lots not marked on the ground, our room was a bit smaller than we expected although still with a sufficient size. Breakfast could be improved with greater resourcing to local products. Service at the table at an extra payment is good and worth, although a more standard free buffet choice could be included in the room's price.

Location. Landscaping. Cleanliness. Friendliness of the staff. The property is impeccably maintained. The orchids take over and they’re gorgeous.

No air conditioning. Fortunately, we could keep both balcony door and bathroom window open.

Lovely, old fashioned small b. and b. with charming helpful staff. Our room was delightfully old-fashioned and comfortable, our bathroom had been refurbished and had a BATH, which was wonderful. A taste of old-style hospitality - a joy.

Sehr schöner romantischer Ort in der Nähe des "Austern-Mekkas" Cancale

Ein sehr schönes Anwesen in der Nähe von Cancale wo es die besten Austern direkt am Strand gibt. Also der ideale Ort wo man die Nacht verbringt, wenn man nach Cancale zum Austerngenuss fährt. Es ist alles mit sehr viel Liebe eingerichtet und man fühlt sich sofort sehr gut aufgehoben in der Hostellerie de la Motte. Sehr viel Liebe zum Detail. Sehr romantischer Ort. Sehr ruhig und gut für die Seele. Sehr gutes Frühstück mit "handverlesenen" Zutaten.

Das Internet war etwas langsam. Leider gibt es nur Filterkaffee. Ich bevorzuge Espresso gegenüber Filterkaffee

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, tolle Anlage in der Näher von Canale. Hatten Apartment mit Terrasse und Blick ins Grüne. Top. Sehr nette und entgegenkommende Gastgeber. Man auch mit rechtzeitiger Reservierung Abendessen. Bieten lokale Produkte an. Empfehlenswert.

Sicher gibt es immer was zu verbessern. Allerdings haben wir hier nichts vermißt.

Authentique chaleureux cosy délicieux !

Séjour magique dans cet établissement authentique géré par un couple avec soin, gentillesse et attention. La chambre était cosy et joliment décoré. L’hôtel a super énergie dans les pièces communes. Le petit déjeuner un vrai délice avec le pain fait maison de Eugène entre autres, on s’est régalés. Je ne peux que recommander l’expérience !
