A true haven

This was our second visit as a family of four and it was so nice to return! Exceptionally clean, comfortable and cosy. The hosts are friendly, warm and very attentive, we were so grateful for the welcome goodies. The hot tub is so big and a perfect temperature. Loved playing pool and darts, the perfect place to spend quality family time. It really is a haven in the Burn! Thanks for the memories

Very private and spacious. Really clean and well equipped place. Lovely little welcome package which gave the place a homely feeling. The pool table and darts board were a great touch, and provided extra bonding time. The owners were fantastic with communication. We loved it and it definitely felt like home from home. We will definitely be back and have recommended it to a few friends.

Lovely private stay to enjoy with the family.

We enjoyed the privacy of our stay. The games room was a great addition along with the hot tub. We were made to feel very welcomed and the welcome basket was much appreciated. We will definitely come back.

Excellent

Steve was so welcoming, so was his wife. He greeted us when we arrived as he was waiting and then showed us around. He always responded to our text messages promptly; once we asked him about how to lock the door and he just was at the house in two minutes. He is respectful, kind and friendly. He even gave my kids a football to play with. He left us a breakfast basket with home-made jam, butter, toast, grape drink, sweets for kids. We also found milk in the fridge. He brought us a tasty fresh stottie on the second day from Big River Bakery from the city centre (20 mins from the house). Cleanliness: we found the place super clean, tidy. There was an amazing aroma. Facilities: AMAZING!, has a barbecue (we had a barbecue every day; we also found a complimentary charcoal, and the barbecue tools); has a hot tub (we really enjoyed it, every day the hosts come and clean it and test the pH level to keep it balanced); has an amazing, clean and wide garden with a table, chairs and cushion (we played at the garden, had breakfast, all you can hear is nature); TV package (Youtube, Netflix, Disney, sports, you name it); billiard table; darts; Amazon Alexa, and more games such as dominos, logo, scrabble, etc. and books; bean bags. The kitchen: has full cookware (we cooked basbousa -semolina cake-, fries, roasted chicken, pasta), it has a fridge, freezer, dinner table, kettle, dishwasher. The kitchen is amazing except it didn't have a washing machine. We will be back again for sure My son's review this is an excellent place, from the garden to the bathtub; I'm speechless... if you taste the jam you'll never want to taste any other jam in the world! Steve was very nice, he even gave us a box of Maltesers. Our bedroom was FAB. It even had some tidies which included an elephant (my favourite). As well as the robes he provided they were very nice and comfy. They even had a BBQ place. I told my dad I don't want to eat out!

The kitchen is amazing except it didn't have a washing machine.

Amazing Chrismas stay

Sorry for the late reply we stayed at this amazing Lodge over Christmas it was perfect had so much to do for the kids Steve and his partner where amazing when we arrived there was baked goods and a bottle of fizz awaiting us they where there to greet us couldn't have asked for better hosts there was a pool table and a hot tub speakers for music an amazing kitchen witch we cooked our Christmas Dinner in there was chickens in the garden there's also a pizza over witch would be perfect for the summer the rooms where amazing the bigger room had an onsuit and a gym there was robes and slippers for the hot tub everything was to perfection we will definitely be staying again I would highly recommend to anyone weather it be a couples weekend or a get away with kids amazing hosts that treat us like family catered for all our needs thank you for an amazing stay and we will definitely be seeing you soon can't thank you guys enough kind regards jade Barry and the kids you really did out do yourself thank you

Last minute booking which was a fantastic trip

Steve was so helpful, location was fantastic for golf and shopping at the metro centre. Hot tub was on and ready for us when we arrive. The hosts had left a breakfast hamper and a bottle of prosecco which was so kind. Great size and garden was great. Clean, friendly and will be booking again to visit in spring. This was a last minute booking for us, so glad we found this little gem of a place

Exceptional

The owners are so welcoming and attentive. The hot tub is a great feature along with the complimentary bottle of prosecco and confectionery basket. Very spacious and well equipped apartment with a pool table and darts board for entertainment. Only 10-15mins away from town by car. Will definitely recommend it to friends and family, and we will be back!

Home from home

The hosts were the most genuine and kind people that I have come across in a long time. They just couldn't have made us feel more welcome. They put teddies in the room for my little girls and there were treats for us all upon entry...including milk, bread, chocolate, drink, jam and even butter! The beds were really comfortable and the apartment was spacious and it was great to have access to a large garden...with chickens too! It included all the facilities and equipment needed for a young family, from highchairs to netflix!

There wasn't anything I didn't like...but I did move a few things out of sight from my little ones reach...for example board games, they would have ruined these for sure! But I'm sure many other families could enjoy these.

Spacious comfortable appartment ideal for a family with children and very friendly & helpful hosts

Spacious fully equiped ground floor appartment with two bedrooms and bathrooms, ideal for us with two young children. The highlight for the our children and our nephews was the pool table which gave hours of entertainment. The appartment opens onto the garden which is enclosed and safe for young children. There is also full Virgin TV with all the channels you could need and Wifi.

This is not a dislike, but be aware that to get to to the apparment, you need to do down a flight of outdoor steps, so my advice is to take several smaller bags or suitcases rather than one big one!
