Peace By The River

There was a small supermarket just right next to the place, which was nice and easy. Staff was nice and friendly, trying to find solutions to problems.

We booked a property through booking. However, when we arrived at the place the staff told us the place we reserved had some issues with the water system, so they offered another alternative. They explained the place they were offering was much better and more expensive but honestly, from our perspective it wasn’t better. Also, the distribution of the place wasn’t the best: bedrooms and kitchens were all over the place, front doors not properly secured and any dog or small animal could go through, which is not ideal if you have a pet. In addition, they said one of the advantages of the option they offered us was that the jacuzzi had hot water but it never worked at all. The BBQ did not have gas at all and there were a few more details that need to be improved such as shower towels or bedsheets.

Very nice location and great view of the river. Apartment had everything we needed, it was clean and spacious. Air conditioning and WiFi worked well. The host was very accommodating - he gave us info on places to visit in Jarabacoa and helped me organise a rafting trip. Would definitely go back and recommend.

That we could not stay longer 😊
