Teddy's Shack - Pet Friendly

The property was very homely and a great location.

Communication to get the keycode for the door came the day before, so we were free to get in when we arrived, the shack was clean and tidy and well presented, and our two boys were eager to explore where they would be staying once we got in. Everything we needed for our stay to organise meals, breakfasts and snack was readily available, even kid friendly cups and bowls etc, and plenty of spare blankets to rug up in, as we had a few chilly evenings. We spent most of our time out and about, so the location of the Shack was ideal, a couple of minutes drive in to Robe and great to come back to after visiting surrounding areas and sights.

Minor stuff really, the dishes from the previous booking had been put away still wet, and we had to re wash the fry pan for our breakfast the next morning, as it still had fried fish and the odour of fish on it from not being washed properly. There were also a lot of mosquitos in the shack too, we had to get some mosquito repellant to put on at nighttime, no fault of the shack owners, just a little annoyance, especially for Master nine whom got bitten a few times and was quite itchy.

There was lots of space and the rooms were comfortable. Very kid friendly.

The outside table and chairs were dirty and full cob webs. The clothes line wire was rusted and left marks on the clothes. The filter in the dryer wasn’t working and the light in the toilet wasn’t working. We purchased a globe and replaced it.

The location was great and the main living area was spacious and light-filled.

The min issue waa the water. It was yellow when it came out the tap. I ended up buying spring water which was frustrating. It also wasn't overly clean, for example there were a lot of dead insects on windowsills, it was dirty under the kitchen benches and the microwave shelf was dirty. The ensuite was halfway renovated with no toilet roll holder or towel rails and missing tiles.
