Lovely studio at Île Saint-Louis

We had a very pleasant stay. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Paris, with supermarkets, metro, buses, and all essential services within walking distance. The apartment is welcoming, clean, and equipped with all the necessary comforts. A special thanks to the staff, who were always kind, helpful, and efficient in responding to our requests. Highly recommended!

The only small downside is that the mezzanine can get a little warm in summer, but it is equipped with a fan and has a window.

Everything about this place was exceptional — a cheerful home away from home as we attended Easter masses at Notre Dame and explored the city. It was no problem for us to navigate the 108 stair steps to the top floor, or to climb the cool retro ladder to the loft. I’m a fit 72-year-old, so challenges like that are invigorating for me. This studio apartment is what I’d consider a real “find.” The kind of place Rick Steves would recommend.

Das Beste an der Unterkunft ist definitiv die Lage! Auf der Ile St. Louis ist es gerade in der warmen Jahreszeit super schön und die Wohnung ist nah am Ufer der Seine, wo man abends sehr nett sitzen kann. Die Wohnung ist mit allem möglichen ausgestattet, was man bei einem Aufenthalt brauchen könnte, man kann selbst kochen, waschen etc. Und ein "eigenes" Appartement gibt einem mehr das Gefühl, "dazu zu gehören", als ein normales Hotelzimmer. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr freundlich und die Abwicklung unkompliziert.

Definitiv müsste mit "rotem Warndreieck" vermerkt werden, dass die Wohnung im 5. Stock liegt (bei dem Alter des Gebäudes selbstverständlich ohne Aufzug). Das heißt, es sind 108 teilweise schmale und krumme Holzstufen zu überwinden, bis man vor der Tür steht! Ich war sehr, sehr froh, keinen größeren Koffer dabei zu haben! Positiv: die Kondition wurde im Laufe der Tage echt besser! Negativ: wenn man unten feststellt, dass man sein Handy vergessen hat... Die Wohnung wirkt auf den Fotos etwas größer, als sie tatsächlich ist (und leider auch etwas neuer und "besser in Schuss" als sie tatsächlich ist...). Das Doppelbett (bzw. die Matratzen) unter dem Spitzdach ist nur über eine etwas abenteuerliche Ausziehleiter (bei den schmalen Metallsprossen unbedingt (Haus-)Schuhe anziehen, außer man ist Fakir) erreichbar, was eher schwierig ist, wenn man nachts noch mal raus müsste. Wir haben dann das etwas weniger romantische Schlafsofa vorgezogen... Die in der Ausstattungsliste angeführte Veranda /Patio haben wir in den vier Tagen nicht gefunden.
