LA GIOIOSA NAPLES INN

The location is great, just a 5-minute walk from Spaccanapoli, with bus and metro stations only a few minutes away. We also felt very safe in the building. There is a porter, a large wooden entrance door, another door to enter the building, and then two separate doors to get into the apartment, all with different keys! One thing I really appreciated was how quiet the apartment was. Naples is not exactly famous for being quiet, especially in the city center, but the apartment felt peaceful because it had it's own passage. The apartment itself was very spacious and well lit. Carmine, our host, was super responsive and very kind. We felt like we could count on him at any moment. Whenever we brought up an issue, he replied quickly and tried to help or solve it as soon as possible. Unfortunately, there were some issues we needed help with, some were our fault (like us locking our keys inside and Carmine un, and most were not, but I’ll explain more about that further.

The biggest issue we had was with the hot water. One of the main reasons we booked this apartment was that it had two bathrooms. We wanted to be comfortable, and having two bathrooms was an important part of that. Unfortunately, the larger bathroom with the bathtub did not have hot water from the start. We reported this to Carmine, and to his credit, he came by very quickly in the morning. Later, he also came back with someone to try to fix the issue. We were told that both bathrooms should now be working properly, but the bathroom with the bathtub still did not have hot water. At first, the second bathroom was fine, but after a couple of days, it started having the same problem. The water would stay warm for a very short time and then suddenly turn cold. Even when there was hot water, the temperature was unstable and would switch between cold and hot without us changing anything. Carmine was responsive and really did try to help, but unfortunately the problem was not properly fixed during our stay. This was very frustrating, especially because the two bathrooms were one of the main reasons we chose this apartment. Because of this issue, I honestly do not think the apartment was worth the price we paid (granted - they did not charge us extra for their efforts to unlock the door we locked with the key still in the door). It has many good things going for it, and the host was kind, but unreliable hot water is a major problem. Unless the hot water system has been fully fixed, I would not recommend this apartment to anyone who needs stable hot water during their stay.

La ubicación, está en pleno centro y en una zona sin ningún ruido, muy cerca del Puerto. Es un piso muy amplio, todo está bastante nuevo y muy limpio. Es super conveniente para conocer Nápoles. Carmine, la persona que nos atendió, es muy amable y atento.

Como sugerencia diría que el menaje de la cocina se queda un poco corto (echamos de menos una tostadora y cuchillo para el pan) y estaría bien otro sofá de 2 plazas para que todos podamos sentarnos en el salón. Nosotros éramos 4 y 3 pueden sentarse apretados en el sofá que hay, pero 4 no.
