The room was extremely small and it smelled awful

The room they give me was extremely small and had an awful smell. There was construction going on so we couldn’t open the windows.

Excellent location and reasonable price

The failure from the hotel to capture my payment during checking in and even during checking out which later caused me lots of inconvenience when given by the hotel deadlines to settle the bill. Not sure how safe and reliable was the link provided and I feel I took a big and unnecessary risk

Very nice breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. Good location (close to city center), overall had a pleasant stay.

Room at night could get a bit more noisy due to nightclub across, personally I had no issues, but for difficult sleepers it can be a problem.

Great location - hotel nice, some small adjustments would make it great.

Location is perfect for shopping and restaurants. Beds and pillows were very comfortable.

It’s a bit more run down than it looks in the photos. Carpets on floors seemed a bit unhygenic. No mirror in second bedroom. (We were in the 2 bedroom quad room). No trash cans/waste paper bins in the rooms. Only a small pedal bin in the bathroom.

I was disappointed that the bar and restaurant were closed during our stay. I had visited last October and really loved the food! I was hoping to be able to share that experience with my husband this visit.

Great central location and only 20 minutes walk from the train station. Friendly and helpful staff. Good size room

The room had no wardrobe to hang your clothes! Only a wall with several pegs to hang some coats. It was okay for a few nights stay but this could be difficult for long stays

Not as should be!

The gentleman who opened the door at our arrival.

We arrived at the hotel at 1:30 AM as previously announced. We had requested two separate beds, but a double bed was prepared. The room was on the ground floor facing the street. There was no sound insulation, and unfortunately, due to the noise, we couldn't sleep until morning. No shampoo and soap in the bath! Perhaps those are part of the special services for guests. 😉

Poor

Good location, close the Markt and Vrijthof in Maastricht. The building is pretty and has character. Restaurant has a nice quiet outdoor terrace at the back. I appreciate the understanding from the manager at checkout and hope they will improve on housekeeping going forward.

We booked a family room (4 person room) and it did not meet expectations at all, certainly not for a room at 460 Euro per night. The space in which the bunk bed is placed is so small that our son was too scared too sleep in that area. There is no closet space anywhere in the room. And most problematic was the cleanliness. The shower floor did not feel clean and the carpet was dirty. Very dusty and small items under the bed from previous guests which clearly showed that the floor under the bed was not cleaned for months.

Great stay at Hotel Monastere

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Monastere in Maastricht, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a warm and friendly staff that made us feel right at home. The breakfast at Hotel Monastere was simply fantastic. There was a wide variety of delicious options to choose from, ranging from freshly baked pastries to a selection of hot dishes. The quality of the food was top-notch, and it was evident that the hotel takes pride in offering a memorable dining experience.

We occasionally noticed footsteps from the rooms upstairs, it was not a major disruption to our overall experience at Hotel Monastere

Stylish Clean Hotel at great location with minor points to be aware off

* Location is superb - In the City centre of Maastricht; walking distance to all restaurants and shopping area. * Family room - Meaning nice stylish big room for parents and adjacent (closet-like) room with bunkbeds for the kids. * Big (paid) parking lot at walking distance at good price and with residential area overlooking it.

* Location of room - We were in was above the inner court yard of the adjacent "Food church" restaurant. Meaning we had some (albeit acceptable) noise of talking dinner guests. I can imagine if it would be really busy it might annoy parents with kids that find it difficult to fall asleep. * The closet like room with bunkbed for kids is great fun for the kids but as parent you have no room to tuck-in your kids unless you crawl in/over the beds. There is just hardly any space due to a column next to the bed. I am semi-athletic build so nothing to do with my body type. * The view from the room - there is hardly any...so don't touch the window blinders... big chance you mess it all up due to height/cords etc * TV is closed circuit so no possibility to access apps like Netflix, Disney Channel etc. - Then again.. maybe that's actually a good thing :-)

We were unimpressed with our room.

Pretty from the outside. Decent location near the square. Our room had lovely high ceilings and tall windows.

Our room was on the main floor not far from reception. There was noise from the bar across the hall and tons of noise from the street. There was nowhere to sit or lounge in the room. No furniture to unload suitcases. The carpeting was dirty and there was dust on the walls. The separate toilet cubicle was just next to the bed…

Disappointing

the restaurant staff were nice/friendly. but the restaurant did not even have hot chocolate to offer :(

the rooms are completely overpriced - we paid 330 euros per night for an "upgraded" room that was bare except the bed (not even a closet to put our belongings), the toilet was smelly and claustrophobic, the carpet and the wall had marks and stains. not a good experience, sorry.
