About this villa rental
The house is of a modernist , west coast pacific design and is furnished in a simple mid century style. It has 1100 sqf of living space and is situated on the crest of a hill which over looks the Vendicari Nature Reserve and Gulf Di Noto on the same 10 acre plot of land where I have another house - Property No : 8061073. Casa Pedro can be rented separately for 4 people or together with Calcicera Alta for larger bookings. ( Sleeping 12 in total )
The house sits in its own 10 acres of old olives and almonds and is surrounded by unspoilt countryside and farmland. There is a 6m x 3m infinity pool and ample terracing for lounging - the house is surrounded by terracing also and has a large shaded area for outdoor eating and entertaining. The house has its own water source and is powered by Solar Voltaic panels located on the shaded parking area giving it excellent environmental credentials. The location commands spectacular views from Siracuse to Noto and Met Etna on a clear day. Noto is the nearest historic town and a Unesco world heritage site.

We had a great holiday in Casa Pedro. The property was spotlessly clean when we arrived and had everything we needed for a great week. The facilities in the house were good and the kitchen area was fine for our needs.
The pool area was wonderful although there were lots of bees/wasps and flies around it. Not the fault of the property or it’s owners, just a fact of life in a rural area.
The road to the property was a bit rough and the little car I had struggled a bit with ground clearance, if I was returning, I would book a taller hire car.
Overall, I would recommend this property and would be happy to return.

The Villa was well equipped and very stylish. The only thing lacking was the amount of clothes hanging / storage space, especially when staying for 2 weeks. There was no air conditioning which meant that it was exceptionally hot at night and although there were ceiling fans, they did not reduce the temperature.
The villa is quiet and secluded which made it very peaceful , but also meant a 20 minute car journey to get to the nearest shop or beach, so expect quite a bit of driving and a car would be a must.
The general location was great for visiting historic sites, baroque towns as well as beautiful secluded beaches. There are lots of very good recommendations in the manual for places to visit and where to eat.
We had a fabulous stay and would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing break.

We had a wonderful week at the villa which was recommended by friends. It is beautifully appointed in a Sicilian manner with a modern feeling. The photographs gave an accurate reflection of the property. It is very clean and well maintained. We loved sunset drinks on the balcony overlooking the impressive views and were stunned by the acres of olive trees that surrounded the property. The pool provided an oasis from the heat of the day.
The town of Noto can be easily reached by car. Noto has some great restaurants, bars and shops, including a very well-stocked supermarket.
It was a memorable holiday and we can't wait to return - hopefully for longer next time.
