The breakfast was lovely. I had pinto beans, plantains, bacon, scrambled eggs one morning and fluffy pancakes with banana, strawberries and honey the next. Delicious. The choices for evening meals were very good and the food was excellent . We didn’t bother looking elsewhere. The trip to see the quetzal was fantastic, our guide Angel (apologies for spelling) found the bird and we all got photos. The gardens were beautiful, full of flowers so of course alive with hummingbirds, and a large range of other bird life. There were several trails we could take, so we got our steps in!
The only thing that we found negative was the lack of wifi. The only place we could be sure to get steady WiFi was standing in the reception. Although we were told it was available in all common areas it was not. In the sitting areas and dining room it either wasn’t available at all or dropped out immediately.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The restaurant service was very good and the food great. Very good value for money
There is no wifi in the rooms and some mobile carriers do not have coverage, although I guess that surrounded by all that nature, you can also appreciate a little bit of disconnection

Location was good
Free breakfast was small. Mattresses were 6” foam mattresses on wood. For the price this was pretty awful.
