It was an old traditional building, very nicely renovated and decorated. Perfect location
The shower was leaking onto the bathroom floor (Apartment 4). I told the host, so hopefully it will be fixed

The location was fantastic, in the back streets of the centre so very quiet. Room had beautiful decor and was spotlessly clean.
The walls between apartments must be quite thin as we could here the family next door very clearly.

Comfy, cosy and pleasantly cool at night. Old building, nice feel to it (but see drawbacks of this below). Bathroom good, location excellent; barely 2mins walk to everything you need. Staff friendly.
Having expected a quiet, undisturbed stay, sadly I was hugely unlucky with those in two neighbouring apartments (2x groups of 4 across the back rooms 3-4 I believe) treating the place like their private mansion. Noise at all hours through the night. After they left, storms then disrupted the ferry schedule and other guests rushing for the early boat were packing suitcases at 5.30am. Granted, not much fun for them either!
None of this is necessarily the host's fault of course, but, please be aware that given the nature of the creaky old building and heavy wooden furniture, if there is ANY significant movement from other apartments, it will likely disturb you. The doors are heavy and can slam. Also, a play park nearby with groups of kids to be aware of, especially in the early evening (so forget a siesta...).
Was in room 2 for 7 days, moved to room 3 for my last night; shower head no pressure desperately needed cleaning. Not befitting of an €80 room tbh (NB. the shower in my other room was good).
Bit of a shame really, as it's a nice place in a quiet setting and hoped for more than 3-4 hrs sleep a night (NB. I'm not a particularly sensitive sleeper and had earplugs).
