The location was very good for the activities we planned. Not far from formal gardens and Wild Waves. The kitchen was wonderful with lots of light and antiques and retro appliances. The TV set up was very good. Netflix was available and the internet was adequate. The beds were comfortable. The outside views are good from the kitchen. There is a great view of Poverty Bay from the upstairs. Good shower upstairs. My grandkids loved it. A good place to play hide and seek and run around in the yard.
We stayed on some very warm days. Though there were plenty of fans, but there were no screens on the bottom floor windows to help cool the house. There was a double door to the patio/deck from the downstairs bedroom but no screens so it could not be opened at night to allow cool air in. The shower/baths on the first floor are difficult to use. One is very small and sunken in the floor. Great for kids but not older larger people. The other one is a step in tub with a gate. You have to space out your shower/baths because the water can get cool. In the kitchen we had a few ants but removing any food from the counter will solve that problem (per house instructions). We tried to walk to the beach but it is too far and the road is not that safe. You have to drive to Redondo beach. The flower garden needs to be restored to its former glory.
