We had a wonderful stay at Sounds of the Mountain Chania and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday experience. We were two families travelling together with teenagers, and the villa worked perfectly for us. Everyone had plenty of space, and the teenagers especially loved spending time in the pool and swimming every day. The house was spotless, well maintained, and everything was in excellent condition. The air conditioning worked perfectly throughout the property, not only in the bedrooms but also in the common living areas, making our stay comfortable even during the hottest days. We especially enjoyed the outdoor space, which was perfect for relaxing, dining, and barbecuing with family and friends. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped and provided everything we needed to prepare and enjoy meals, whether cooking indoors or grilling outside. The location was peaceful and felt very safe. Situated in a beautiful rural setting, we loved waking up to the sounds of nature and spotting goats in the nearby hills. It was a wonderful escape from busy tourist areas and a great place to unwind. A car is definitely recommended, as the property is located in the countryside. For us, this was a real advantage, allowing easy access to beaches, villages, Chania Old Town, and all the beautiful places Crete has to offer while enjoying the tranquillity of a rural home base. There was also plenty of parking space available, which made coming and going very convenient. A special thank you to the owner, who was always easy to reach and responded promptly, helpfully, and in a very friendly manner whenever we had a question. The excellent communication and hospitality made us feel welcome from the moment we arrive. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay for anyone seeking comfort, privacy, and a peaceful atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would happily return in the future.
