Great,, beautiful place, with very nice mattresses.

Chateau Chao ist offenbar ganz neu und wirklich sehr, sehr schön. Die Zimmer sind wirklich so toll, wie auf den Bildern. Das Essen war sehr gut und sehr reichlich. Wir waren in der Vorsaison dort und die einzigen Gäste. Das Personal bestand aus einer Frau, die nur georgisch sprach und ihrer Tochter, die ein bisschen englisch konnte. Die Kommunikation war also etwas schwierig, aber beide waren sehr nett und mit gutem Willen und einer ÜbersetzungsApp ging das sehr gut. Es kann natürlich sein, dass in der Hauptsaison mehr Leute dort sind. Die Zufahrt ist abenteuerlich, darauf sollte man sich einstellen.

Staying at Chateau Chao feels more like visiting someone’s home in the mountains than checking into a hotel. The setting is peaceful, surrounded by the greenery of Adjara, with beautiful mountain views that make you slow down whether you planned to or not. The food is easily the standout. Everything feels homemade, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. It’s not just “hotel food” – it’s proper Georgian cooking, full of flavor and variety. You end up looking forward to every meal. Overall, it’s a great choice for families. Safe, calm, welcoming, and with food that everyone will actually enjoy.
