The Host was very detailed in assuring an easy entry into the residence.The location of the Lofty Owl was a great safe area in downtown district.The Police station was not far with their presence up and down the street often. Even though on a busy street there was not traffic noise heard when in the residence. We were able to walk to various restaurants and shopping. We were shocked of the spaciousness of the residence as well as the cleanliness that was amazing. You will not be disappointed in choosing the the Lofty Owl as your destination stay.

This is such a spacious place to stay in a cute downtown walkable area to coffee, a meal, farmer's market, a couple of shops. I would only caution that if you cannot do a lot of stairs, seek another place. We had no problem with the stairs, but know that there is a flight up to the 2nd floor apartment door, and then inside the apartment the flight of stairs has very narrow treads and are steep, so just know that. Come down them sideways as we did! Also, older buildings can have electrical waxings and wanings and that's ok if you know it going in to this awesome space. The kitchen is great!!

Great location, with in walking distance to most of everything. The property was very clean and in great condition. The hosts had a great assortment of snacks available and plenty of coffee!The hosts were very communicative and quite quick in their responses. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

We enjoy coming in for Hillsdale College conferences and staying here makes it easier to hang around afterward and have those extra conversations since we are literally 5 minutes away. Another wonderful stay at the lofty owl during a streak of beautiful fall weather! Everything well appointed as always and it made out trip into town for the Hillsdale college conference so enjoyable! Loved being able to stay for a few longer conversations in the evening knowing we were only 5 minutes away! Also took the opportunity because of the weather to use the trail (paved) out to Baw Beese Lake for my morning walk one day….lovely! Although I also enjoy walking the sidewalks in town and just enjoying the neighborhoods! Thanks again! See you in November for the next conference!

My college-aged son and daughter and Ioved the Lofty Owl from the moment we entered! We've traveled alot` and stayed in lots of VRBO's, but this had to be our favorite. As my son said, it reminded him of Florida and New York combined. The lay out of thiis downtown apartment is both unusual and appealing. The decorations were all beautiful and functional... and were what I would have picked out for my own home... if I could find them! Also the host is kind, uber-responsive, professional, laid back and friendly all at once. Answered all of our needs but gave us plenty of space for us to enjoy our stay. This was really a model VRBO in all regards- the accommodations provided EVERYTHING we could have wanted... and the host understands how to run a business and customer service to a T. So well done! This was our second time to stay at the Lofty Owl. This is a perfect location for visiting Hillsdale College. The apartment is extremely clean and comfortable. There are several places to eat/get a coffee within steps of the front we highly recommend it.

We loved staying here. The location was extremely convenient. Overnight parking was not a hassle as we parked on the street right around the corner. During the day, we never had an issue parking out front. We were able to get a forgotten item at the natural grocery store almost right downstairs and walk to all of our normal eating and drinking establishments. The beds were extremely comfortable. There was lots of room and the kitchen as well stocked. Communication was easy and we would definitely stay here again!

Sometimes I worry about leaving great reviews because it ups the competition to stay there, but can not be helped in this case! Loved staying here! Clean, clean! Super comfortable! Great location! We were in town for a Hillsdale College Conference and it was perfect for everything we needed for our stay! Coffee at Jilly Beans a couple doors down, good old fashioned diner breakfast at the Local Eatery a couple doors the other way. The shops downtown are great …found a cute outfit for the conference!! This is a large 3 bedroom, almost too good to be true. Two stories, extra clean and downtown. We had a great quick visit to check out Hillsdale and the location couldn't have been better. The owner was incredibly responsive when I thought I had an issue. Great choice!

This is a wonderful place to stay in downtown Hillsdale. It is just about a 3 minute drive from Hillsdale College and right next door to a great coffee shop and a couple of good restaurants. The apartment is lovely, extremely clean, well stocked with everything needed, and even some thoughtful treats. The beds are comfortable with nice sheets and blankets. The hosts are easy to work with and quick to respond. I highly recommend it.
