Hawg Hideaway, near ‘Tail of the Dragon’ & Deals Gap

Check in was easy. Cabin was clean. Several minor inconveniences. Several bathrooms had only a partial roll of toilet paper with no extra provided. We had to go to the store to buy toilet paper. Surprised to also see that there was zero toiletries in the showers such as travel size soaps or shampoos. Didn’t bring any with us and had to buy some. Internet WiFi virtually non existent. Devices wouldn’t connect even when password correct. And when connected, the internet speed was so slow that you could barely use google. Listing is a bit inaccurate. The listing shows a common room with 2 futons, and another common room with a 3rd futon. We only found 1 pullout futon in each common area instead of the 3 expected. This would have been a big issue had we had 12 people instead of 10. All the dishes from the kitchen were still loaded into the dishwasher from previous stay. We had to unload them. We didn’t find the welcome book and maps of local rides till the morning of checkout. Would have loved to have seen that laid out on the kitchen island or something when we walked in so we would have known it existed. For the good: location was very nice. Secluded, Mountain View’s were gorgeous. Having a garage for the motorcycles was great. We had 5 motorcycles that easily fit with room to spare. Overall, if the cabin was more “check-in ready” without so much effort on our part, it would have been 5 star easily. Overall we enjoyed our stay and are planning to come back next year!

Hosted some friends from out west for an East Coast motorcycle getaway. Enjoyed our stay tremendously. Real estate manager was extremely communicative. Location was perfect and cabin was beautifully laid out. Garage large enough to accommodate our four full dressers easily. Loved having individual bathrooms with each room. Would definitely stay again.

What an awesome location for anyone riding motorcycles in NC. 4 king bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Very little internet or cell service, but it didnt bother our group after all we were on vacation.Management was easy to work with, house was clean, everything we needed was there. We all said we would stay again if we are out that way on vacation.
