Le Grand Pic de Portneuf - Chalet Cinéma Piscine Billard - Resort près de Québec

Tout était super !! L’emplacement du chalet est proche de la route donc un peu bruyant lorsque les fenêtres sont ouvertes ou si l’on se pose sur la terrasse. Autrement rien à redire, très beau chalet, propre et bien équipé! Hôte ultra réactif et sympathique, et les parties communes comme la piscine sont très appréciées.

Être dans un endroit paisible à proximité de Québec. La grandeur de la maison et les fenêtres, qui apportent une belle lumière naturelle malgré le fait que les maisons voisines soient très proches. Les communications avec le locateur.

Le seul petit bémol, un banc dans les chambres pour pouvoir mettre une valise, plutôt que la laisser au sol serait apprécié. Pour le reste, tout était parfait!

This was our third stop during our holiday trip, and we spent three nights at Le Grand Pic – and honestly, it was great. The place offered a perfect combination of comfort, nature, and amenities that made for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The location is beautiful – a small village of vacation cottages nestled in the forest, about 40 minutes by car from Québec City. It’s quiet, green, and peaceful, but with excellent access to both nature and city life. You’ll definitely need a car, but if you have one, you’re well positioned for day trips in both directions. A real highlight nearby is Vallée Bras-du-Nord, just 30 minutes away, with spectacular trails and a waterfall – highly recommended. The village itself has shared facilities including a large hot tub, a swimming pool, sauna, and a billiards area – a nice bonus if you're staying more than a night or two. The cottage was spacious, bright, and modern, with huge windows bringing in light and forest views. The layout is generous, with plenty of room to relax indoors and out. It’s well equipped – from the kitchen and grill to the fireplace and outdoor seating/dining area. Everything you need for a family or group stay is there, and the overall feeling is warm and inviting.

Outdoor cushions had visible stains, and there was some oil residue under the grill, likely left by previous guests. The bathroom sink drained slowly and could use a quick fix. One of the bedrooms was missing its curtains upon arrival (we were told they had been removed for cleaning). Since that window faced the roadside, we had to improvise by moving curtains from another room. The missing curtains were returned the next day but still had a clearly visible stain, which didn’t leave the best impression. The sheets and pillowcases felt like low-grade polyester and didn’t fit well (especially, the pillowcases). The pillows were quite flat and could be more comfortable. The AC unit is located only in the main living space and operates in a single mode without the ability to adjust airflow or intensity. It doesn’t effectively cool the bedrooms, which could be an issue on warmer days.

Some of the cookware could be replaced. Better pillows would be good too!
