Ryokan Yayanoyu

Gem of a ryokan, private bath in the outside garden was amazing and the food was great. The staff is supper cute and accommodating.

Ryokan Yayanoyu is truly a hidden gem. The staff is very helpful and did everything to make our stay a comfortable one. The ryokan provided a variety of amenities for use during our stay. The rooms are very large and the private onsen attached to the room is perfect for soaking. The highlight of the stay has to be the kaiseki dinner and breakfast provided by the ryokan. The excellent food at Ryokan Yayanoyu rounded off an ideal ryokan experience.

Nothing comes to mind. We wish we had booked a longer stay.

The food and service was outstanding! The Unzen was cozy and very relaxing. We highly recommend a visit to the Yayanoyu.

The private washroom was a bit tight but manageable. Besides who spends time in the washroom when you have your own private unzen.

It was wonderful from the begging till the end. The staff was so friendly and caring. We managed to communicate in Japanese and English. The food was fenomenal, we had such a wonderful dinner and an amazing breakfast. The private onsen was a really worth it experience. The ryokan is beautiful. The provided us nice yukata and all toiletries. We could choose to have an all you can drink menu or just pay for what we consumed. We really enjoyed it. We had to leave in a rush in the morning after breakfast to take the bus back to the city and forgot a shirt in the room, they drove very quickly after we left to the bus stop to bring it to us, it was so thoughtful, we will never forget the kind gesture.
