About this house rental
Welcome to Windward Cottage! Stunning home located on Eggemoggin Reach with breathtaking views looking out to Deer Isle, upper Penobscot Bay and the Deer Isle Bridge in the distance and expansive lawn with 500’ of shorefront. It’s the only thing better than sailing down the Reach on a luxury yacht! The gracious 7,000 SF plus home has high ceilings throughout and has been beautifully updated. The main house includes 3 large ensuite bedrooms (2 located on the first floor and 1 located on the second floor), large open family room / gourmet kitchen with Wolfe range, island, walk-in pantry, separate bar room with ice maker, fireplace in family room and 75” Samsung Art Frame TV, elegant dining/living room with an impressive granite fireplace as the focal point and a 65” Samsung Art Frame TV, covered porch opening to blue stone terrace with fire pit, and a large screened porch perfect for enjoying the sunsets and another dining option.
The ensuite bedroom on the second floor features an office with amazing views, TV, sitting room plus a separate room with a twin bed. In addition, there's a loft space with a twin trundle bed overlooking the living room with views of the Reach.
The fourth large ensuite bedroom with living room and TV is located over the garage.
Each bedroom is furnished with a desk and comfortable reading area so that everyone can enjoy their own space.
The home has beds for up to 11 people. The 150’ dock was completed summer 2022 and there are 1-2 moorings available for use. Kayaks and powerboats can easily be rented and delivered to site. The Benjamin River and Sedgwick town dock are just down the street. Close to Acadia National Park and Mount Desert Island, Brooklin, Brooksville, Bucks Harbor, Deer Isle, Stonington, Blue Hill and Castine. Relax, explore, go boating (Boston Whaler charters available nearby), play golf on the lawn, and/or entertain at Windward Cottage. Enjoy!

We had such a great week at Jane's beautiful home in Sedgwick. We were close to everything--Blue Hill, Brooklin, Deer Isle--and the water location was perfect. The house was really nicely laid out and had everything we could have asked for!
