Royal Oak - Cheerful Centrally located 5 bedroom

The 5 bedroom was perfect for our family, a senior couple, a 50ish son, a 40ish son & a 21 yr old grandson. The place is great for seniors--only a few steps, a comfort height toilet, and a walk-in shower. The neighborhood was very safe, with single women walking and running by themselves & children playing outside, and with your vehicle parked right outside in the driveway. There was comfortable seating for 6 in the living room, and 4 chairs + a long bench in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and had 4 pillows on a bed. The bathroom downstairs was nice. The kitchen was small with few, but adequate cabinets. The kitchen had extra supplies like oil and some spices and lots of coffee pods. There were plenty of things like tissues. And, we were happy to see that there was shampoo & conditioner in both bathrooms, which was a plus. We would have liked a 10" or 12" skillet and more coffee cups, but otherwise the kitchen was very good with a huge refrigerator. My tall sons said the upstairs bedrooms had low ceilings for a tall person, but they were still happy with them. The A/C worked perfectly and we had no problems while we were there. I would give it a "perfect rating" except I thought it could have been a tad cleaner. It was fine, but not quite perfect and it had a # of places on doors & walls that need paint re-touching. It didn't affect our stay, but if you are really picky, you might not be happy. That said, I would not hesitate to stay their again.

It was a very nice place to stay clean,relaxin reliable, easy to get to great well communicate people from the time I arrive till the time I left close to everything that I need to be around. The house was cute and cozy and had plenty of room for my family of 5. The house was nice and clean and is in a great neighborhood. I would stay there again the next time I'm in town.

A couple of days with our grown children at this phase in our lives is like gold. Our stay in Royal Oak could not have been any better. The house was in great shape -- very clean, updated amenities and tons of room. Matt was incredibly attentive and responded immediately to requests. I highly recommend this property.

The home was very clean and had a cozy feel. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. The house was large and had enough hangout space for 10 adults. The owner was very quick to respond and very helpful.

My siblings/spouses/children stayed here for my sister’s daughter’s wedding, and we thoroughly enjoyed the house in a quiet suburban neighborhood on a lovely tree-lined street - nicely decorated, spacious, comfortable, super clean, soft beds — so nice to sleep on! , modern bathrooms, upgraded kitchen, house A/C was set for cool when we had arrived on a warm August weekend. Even a fun basement for the little kids to play while adults visited upstairs. Host very accommodating for our family , when I had a question he readily answered and met the need. Five Star VRBO for a wonderful family reunion. We’re coming back when we visit Michigan family and I highly recommend this place for a stay in Detroit.

This 5 bedroom 2 full bathroom home was amazing. Looked great on the outside as well as inside. My 92yr old dad had his Nephews come in town from Texas to visit us (ages 58-70). The main level had 2 nice bedrooms with queen size beds. Bathroom with a walk in shower, which had a built-in seat and had grab bars. This was perfect for my 92 yr old dad and 86yr old mom. The upper level had 3 nice size bedrooms, 1 king and 2 queen size beds. 1 full bathroom with a bathtub and shower, Also had a fancy Bidet toilet, where you could heat your toilet seat or wash your tushie 🤭 among other settings. Everything in the house was updated. The bedrooms were roomy and beds were comfortable. Had a nice size cute kitchen, with a nice eatery area. Coffee and tea and condiments were plentiful. Cookware and everything you needed for your stay. They had some workout equipment in the basement. Cable and Wifi. Easy access in /out of the home. Nice quite neighborhood, mins. away from downtown Royal Oak. Just a couple of flaws, when we checked in, it was nighttime. Woke up the next morning and noticed the entire front porch had chalk drawings all over it with pictures of space ships and aliens fighting. It was kinda weird. The drawings were advanced. Probably should have power washed the porch. One more thing inside of refrigerator was partially cleaned. My overall experience was 9.95/10.Mathew was an awesome host, and corresponded back & forth as needed. My cousins were very pleased with this house❤
