We had a wonderful stay in Vieques! The house is centrally located and a great spot to use as home base. Beautiful house with wonderful ocean views. Note that the room with the bunk beds is a separate pool house. It is just steps away from the main house, however it is not connected. This was not clear in the listing and we had planned to have children sleep in that room. We had to alter our sleeping arrangements so that we didn’t have kids sleeping separately. Aside from this we enjoyed the house very much. The beach by the house is beautiful but not great for swimming (at least during our stay). We enjoyed using the umbrellas, beach chairs and towels provided to explore different stunning beaches around the island during the stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Vieques. The property was clean and well maintained. The beach view was amazing. There was so much nature to enjoy at the property (daily visits from the many wild horses, huge exotic looking iguanas, and a mourning dove with her baby in a nest in a palm tree at the pool). Restaurants and stores were all in close proximity.

The house worked for our needs. 1) Water pressure was never acceptable in the property and the toilets clogged nearly everyday from the first day and one toilet was never operational 2) There is pool tile that needs to be repaired near the hot tub area 3) Hot tub is not functional and this should be clear on the property description 4) there are not enough silverware and plates for the table to be set. 5) there was not any cleaning materials to properly clean and what was available was in disrepair. 6) the only shower that worked beyond a water fountain stream was the pool house shower - the rest were truly not usable
I would not rent this home again
