About this house rental
The ocean views from almost every room of our mid-century modern home are truly amazing. The coast has majestic rock formations that the waves crash over and make cascading waterfalls with each wave. Listening to the waves as you fall asleep each night is very relaxing. Our home is large and all rooms are spacious, all one level with no stairs. We live here as well as rent it while we travel so we chose quality in all areas of the home. Since we purchased our house we have replaced all the flooring, all the furniture, beds and bedding, window treatments, freshly painted inside and out, top to bottom. You can have a BBQ on the deck while enjoying enjoy the views. There are many seabirds that are always in the sky, pelicans and osprey fishing in the surf is our favorite. Of course the seagulls off in the distance with their signature calls completes the scene.
The town of Brookings is a fishing harbor and the seafood is fresh and delicious. Buy fresh fish or crab from the docks and cook at home or chose from the many restaurants in town. Or, for an adventure, take advantage of one of the many fishing fleets in the harbor and catch the fish yourself. You can antique shop, go to the movie theatre, or simply relax and whale watch from the comfort of the living room. Please note, beach access is on a city maintained trail right from our house to the beach. 10-15 minute stroll along a path. Or you drive a 1/4 mile and park at the beach.
There are also really interesting hiking options. Stroll along the beaches that you can see from the house or take short drives to numerous beach trails or hike in redwood forests. Oceans, rivers and forests…hard to beat! We allow pets only if they are completely potty trained. We have new carpetting in the bedrooms and if there any accidents there will be $100 - $300 charge.

We had a great stay! Tom and Terri were very responsive and kind! The views were unbelievable and the whale watching was awesome! The home was clean and spacious! There is a bit of a hike down to the beach if you walk, but Harris Beach parking is close and is easier to get down that way! All in all, it was a great place to stay!

The house was everything we hoped it would be! Fantastic ocean views, close to other beaches and Brookings with fine eatery's. So much fun. The only thing that was a little bothersome was the motion light near the master bedroom. A raccoon and Gray Fox would trigger it and the light was quite bright flooding the bedroom with light. It was not that big of an issue after we closed the blinds except for the window over the vanity which did not have a blind. But the Gray Fox ---so cool!!!

We had an absolutely incredible stay!! The mid-century modern design is gorgeous and beautifully executed, creating a stylish yet completely comfortable atmosphere. There was more than enough space for everyone to relax without feeling crowded (our party was 5 adults). Of course, the absolute highlight was the spectacular ocean views. Waking up to that scenery every morning was unforgettable. It’s also perfectly situated for exploring; we spent our days checking out the breathtaking Oregon coast and hiking through the redwoods. This place is a gem, and we would love to come back!
