Villa is located inside Grand Bear Resort complex. However, WE ARE PRIVATELY OWNED. WE DON'T HAVE A CONECTION OF ANY KIND WITH GRAND BEAR LODGE AND OR GRIZZLY JACK'S RESORT. WATER PARK PASSES ARE NOT INCLUDED. NEED TO CONTACT GRAND BEAR RESORT DIRECTLY FOR PRICING AND AVAILABILITY.!
Rustic log style furnishings. The generous 1,800 square foot Villa sleeps 8 with 2 bedrooms, 2 bath, comforting fireplaces, televisions, a patio, 2 balconies, washer/dryer, kitchen & dining area.
The kitchen is complete with all major appliances dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot, single cup coffee maker, toaster, dinnerware, eating utensils and basic cookware. To maximize your rental experience please consider bringing any special items you may need. There is a 24 hr convince store located inside the resort lobby, should you forget something.
-The Master bedroom features a king-size bed, pull out twin sofa sleeper, fireplace, TV, private vanity and whirl pool tub.
-The Second bedroom features 2 queen size beds, TV and balcony.
-Folding bed available first floor.
-Free WIFI access
-Special rates when booking 7 nights or more.
House keeping services are not provided for stays shorter then 7 nights. Guests are encouraged to take advantage of the full size washer and dryer to launder the existing towels and linens for a fresh supply.

*Villa toiletries (paper towels, toilet paper) will be provided but are based on the amount of people/duration of your stay.
Should you feel more is needed while on your stay please feel free to visit the General Store located inside GrandBear Resort.

Great layout. Location close to starved Rock was perfect for us. Fireplaces were a plus. Furniture may need an upgrade, but we had a great time.

Overall, nice and comfortable. However, we had some issues ...
1) Problems with locking and unlocking the dead bolt. We had to force the door handle up and out while locking, which didn't always work (dead bolt needs to be adjusted).
2) Upper-level toilet is clogged and plunger didn't work (it was clogged before we even used it and not sure that anyone ever checked that during cleaning). Some sinks even drained slowly.
3) We were unaware that charcoal grills and BBQ'n just outside the condo was not allowed, so had to go elsewhere to a designated area outside of the resort (Matthiessen Park) to BBQ, which was inconvenient. Warning: do not leave BBQ grills outside (even is not in use) to avoid possible fines.
Communication with the host was excellent. He was able to have our grills moved into the condo while we were hiking at Starved Rock State Park to avoid getting fined (yes, even if the grills are not being used).
There were check-out procedures, which were good, but no check-in procedures that we could find. That would have helped, such as no outdoor BBQ'n allowed and how to force the front door up and very tight to the frame in order to get it to lock on the first attempt.
