    For us, hotelo tropical was perfect , but it’s not really a hotel, , we had a studio, which had a small kitchen , it is very dated, so anyone looking for 5 star, it’s a no, perfect location, right on plaza Charco, no facilities as such but it does have a small rooftop pool

    Stayed at Hotel Tropical 3 rd to 14 th January. Met up with friends who were already there. If you are going do not have high expectations. Hotel is actually 2 hotels and layout is initially confusing to get from reception to hotel rooms. Rooms are large with comfortable beds and clean, very tired and desperately needing upgraded, kitchenette small but functional, half size bath in bathroom, pool area small and have to be quick to get a sun bed, no chance of any sleep before 12:30 am due to live music coming from bar opposite. Room maids are pleasant and always great you with a smile. Reception staff are pleasant if you approach them but they never acknowledge you when going in and out of hotel making for an uncomfortable experience, they never say hello, smile or nod as you pass.
