The property is in a great location and contains all you need for a great holiday. Bicycles and canoes are available to use. Two restaurants in the village and regular bus service to Leiden. Easy to get to Amsterdam using public transport too. Amber and family were responsive and welcoming.

This was wonderful place to stay. It was convenient to drive wherever we wanted to go. The town itself was lovely and the locale of this apartment was beautiful. Our view included a windmill, a canal and a church as well farm animals and plenty of green space. The owners were friendly and helpful. We loved our time here and were sad to leave. We would highly recommend staying here.

Delightful country setting with nature abounding. From the frogs, ducks, birds and horses, everything was soothing. Loved the apartment as it was clean, modern and comfortable. The bathroom and shower were clean and in perfect working order. Access to the bikes was a highlight as we enjoyed biking around the immediate countryside. Parking was convenient and there was a lot of outdoor space to enjoy. The host was very friendly and welcoming.

The cottage was/is clean and efficient. An end unit, two bedroom apartment that has windows overlooking a canal and paddock. The cottage is well stocked with dishes, appliances (although we bought and left a fan because of the unseasonably hot weather) and comfortable furniture EXCEPT the beds. They are so narrow as to make turning over difficult. The mattress comfort did not make up for the lack of ability to stretch one’s arm without hitting the wall. Unit did not have a hair dryer or toaster. Washing machine shared by all units took over 2 hours per load. Host was very nice and friendly and responsive. Lovely property.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful farm with sheep, horses, and farm cats. The place was very clean and the location was great in between Amsterdam and The Hague. Would definitely stay again.

The apartment we rent is perfect for holidays (four people). Clean, in the middle of a quite area. The owner is always available to give you good advices (we needed to see a doctor -on Sunday- and he gave us all necessary informations). Located in a field area colse to a village, it's very easy to go from there to other towns (even by train) all around. A nice holyday week.

This was the best VRBO ever! The property is right in the middle of Holland. 30 minutes in any direction and we found another charming village. The house and area is just as wonderful as it looks in the pictures. Very peaceful and beautiful. Amber was gracious and accommodating. I want to return!

An absolutely perfect location, close to most major cities and 15 mins from the airport. The rooms are immaculate and well equipped. Very close to Leiden which has shopping and a really nice boat tour of the canals as well as a food market. The town of Rijpwetering ,where the property is located, is charming and a nice place to take evening walks after a day of site seeing. There is lots of parking on site and public transportation is available close by. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone planning a trip to the Netherlands.

We were very impressed with the property, modern, very clean and well equipped. Even though the weather was warm the interior stayed comfortably cool. For UK visitors interest - the TV receives BBC programmes. Rijpwetering is a beautifully kept little village and provides a great base to tour with Delft, Leiden, Den Haag and Amsterdam all within 20-30 minutes. Highly recommended.

My sister and I spent a week at this wonderful cottage and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience! Our main interest was in seeing the tulip fields and visiting Keukenhof and this location worked great for us (we had a rental car) -- it was also only about 25 min to the Park&Ride into Amsterdam and about the same to Gouda, Delft and Aalsmeer....Everything was very clean and tidy and it was really fun to look out our windows and see the sheep with little lambs and the baby ducks swimming by....Would highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing!

Our family of 4 had the most wonderful stay! The home was clean and new and had everything we needed. The property is beautiful and the hosts were kind enough to loan us bikes and make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We wished we could stay longer but we will be back!

This was our second stay ( in 3 years) at this lovely little 'cottage', and we can highly recommend it ( best to have your own rental car), if you like quiet, peaceful surroundings. It is absolutely beautifully situated in a quaint small town behind a beautiful old farm, and has vieuws of the green pastures and a windmill. It is private, and SUPER clean, cozy, quite roomy, and everything you need is there. A well equiped kitchen, and english TV+CNN. There is a wonderful 'farm store' ( 'Landwinkel') within walking distance to buy delicious fresh milk, yoghurt and cheese fresh from the cows out back, and wonderful fresh eggs too ! If you want to experience the 'real' Holland after you've done the big cities, I'd highly recommend a stay at this wonderful gem of a property for a few nights !

We LOVED the cottage! Cock has everything needed, and it is a comfortable place! We did not have a car, and were able to take the train and bus nearby. it is a short walk from the bus stop to the home. The only drawback for us was when we needed groceries. Cock quickly lent us 4 bikes and we rode to the store about 2 miles away. The village is nice, and we were able to get an ice cream at the Cafe which was a treat. Cock answered all our questions, and is very welcoming!

We loved our stay in this apartment! We stayed for a week in May, and everything was great. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and the apartment had everything that we needed. It was clean, comfortable, and everything was in excellent working order. The location was beautiful—with horses and sheep, and a very friendly dog, too! Good bikes were free for us to use, and it was wonderful to bike through the small town and out through the surrounding country past windmills and farmland. There was also a great restaurant (De Vergulde Vos) within walking/biking distance. We will definitely remember this place when we return to the Netherlands in the future!

This was a wonderful vacation house. I stayed here for 2 nights with my husband and my parents. The owner was extremely helpful, check-in was very easy, the house is pristinely clean, the kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom is nice and large, and the beds are comfortable. It is in a quaint little town and the cottage is surrounded by green countryside, canals, windmills, horses, and sheep. It is close to a grocery store and the home is very easy access to Haarlem, Amsterdam, and the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone & would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

A LOVELY COTTAGE!

A LOVELY COTTAGE!

What a lovely cottage! Immaculate, bright, and even colour coordinated right down to the dishes and towels. It's located in an area that a person pictures all of The Netherlands to look like, with canals and windmills. To get to the property, you cross a little bridge across a canal, and there is also a canal with dikes on two sides of the cottage. That's where the sheep sometimes graze, which is great fun to watch. In the living room/dining room/kitchen, there are large windows and a double French door on three sides, giving a view out of one, of probably the prettiest windmill in the area. Out of the others, we could watch the lambs and sheep when they were there, or just enjoy the view. There is a nice sitting area with a table and chairs just outside the French doors. The kitchen has lots of dishes and cutlery, pots and pans, and all the appliances we needed. The beds were very comfortable, with extra blankets, and there were lots of towels and linens. The owners are extremely nice, giving us our privacy yet being available if we needed them. They were very prompt in answering our e-mails, and always accommodating to anything we asked. They even had thoughtful welcoming gifts! The cottage is very close to Keukenhof, which is a "must see" if you are there when it is open - sometime between the middle of March and the middle of May. It is also very close to the city of Leiden, and Amsterdam and Haarlam are easily accessible from the cottage. We were especially pleased that it is close to Schiphol (Amsterdam) airport. We wished we would have had time to see FloraHolland flower auction in Aalsmeer, which is also not far from the cottage. We were sorry we only spent one week at the cottage - wished it could have been longer, and have already recommended it to family and friends. Thank you so much for everything, Cock.

Le village de Rijpwetering est charmant et propose différentes boucles à velo (vélos fournis par les propriétaires,un vrai plus). On est aussi en moins de 5 minutes sur le réseau autoroutier et ainsi rapidement sur Amsterdam, Rotterdam, La Haye, les plages. Schönes, gepflegtes Haus mit guter Ausstattung. Die Lage ist toll für Ausflüge in alle Richtungen, alles ist gut zu erreichen. Gut gefallen haben uns auch die Fahrräder für Ausflüge zum Badeplatz und auch die Kanus waren ein besonderer Spaß, um die Gegend mal ganz anders zu erkunden. Sehr nette Vermieter.
