After asking the Gentleman cleaning the rooms Not to come in! As we saw he had eneterd another room of a gentleman on floor 105 who was using the bathroom! We was skeptical. NO, we did not need anything NO, we are fine. Left our rubbish neatly outside our door all bagged up. WITH A PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB SIGN on the door. He still entered the room! Very uncomfortable Very .... strange:( Money on counter Handbag with passports and IDs Bank cards in Personal Medical supplies out :( Privacy invaded :(

We only live a few miles away so wanted spa stay. There are better options in Torquay for that. However would recommend

A lovely stay.

This was the 3rd visit to this beautiful hotel for my sister and myself. We had a lovely stay, we used the spa, had food in the lounge bar one evening and drinks each evening in the lounge. A lovely, restful stay.

Breakfast was excellent lots of choice and the pancakes were amazing. Our dinner in the evening was also excellent very good waiting staff. Nothing was too much trouble. We liked the quiz in the afternoon. We also had sandwiches which were good. Bathroom was spacious. Good tv

We will be back

Even when you arrive at the hotel it is inviting. The whole place is immaculate inside and out. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room well equipped and so clean, breakfast was lovely and dinner on Saturday evening was outstanding. And in the room you get a little bottle of milk in the fridge to make your hot drinks which is much nicer than little plastic cartons. The robes and slippers were great for the spa, which we were lucky enough to have to ourselves this was also immaculate and really lovely. All of the waiting staff were really friendly and helpful - Sandy was one that really made an effort to talk and check all was ok. The turkey and tinsel event that was on made a fun buzz to the stay also.

Breakfast was excellent. Service slow on our first morning but improved greatly on the second day.

Breakfast service friendly but slow on first morning. Great after that. One point - all staff were lovely, apart from the main man at rhe bar. He appeared to be disgruntled and we had to wait to be served whilst he was complaining to another member of staff about something. He wasn't rude to us but just didn't seem happy in his job whereas everyone else appeared to be happy in their work.

I loved the whole experience of staying at this hotel. Adequate parking, beautifully clean and spacious room. A lift for easy access. Breakfast was superb. This was a two day stay which marked the end of our trip along the south coast. We did not want a full evening meal on the last night and chose a sandwich accompanied by salad and fries. This was served in the lounge and was first class. It was the first time I'd had a chicken and grape sandwich, believe me it was delicious 😋. All in all a fabulous hotel, we will definitely return.

The Belgrave Sands hotel, had just been refurbished and was in excellent condition. We booked a deluxe room, which was very comfortable and spacious. The bed was fantastic - we had the best night’s sleep. The rainfall shower was powerful and perfectly hot. Breakfast was also excellent, with plenty of options to help yourself to, along with a full English breakfast that was the perfect start to the day.

The room was so hot. No air con. Had to use the small table fan all night which was really noisy. Hard to sleep from the noise and it still being so stuffy.

Quality throughout. Clean and modern room. Breakfast wonderful. Little bottle of fresh milk and large bottle of drinking water in the fridge. Complimentary fruit, biscuits and little chocs. Staff lovely. Spa looked great. Parking was not a problem. Sea views. Lovely overall experience. Would definitely book again.

The shower could have been a bit more powerful but that's just a personal preference. Beautifully fitted bathroom.
