Beautiful house and garden to live and relax with everything provided you need. Riccardo and Stefania are very friendly and help out if you need smth.The pool was cleaned everyday which probably wouldn't even be necessary, thanks riccardo :)The whole property ( area) is amazing and makes you calm down, you can feel the heart of the Toscana.Book it, go there and feel it yourself. We were here the second time. After we spend wonderful holidays with our dog two years ago at this beautiful place, we decided to come back this May -It was like coming home. Thanks Stefania and Riccardo for this outstandig place to relax, enjoy nature and discover beautiful towns and places in the Toscany. Had a really lovely weeks holiday in this ground floor of a cottage. Beautiful countryside location ( it is down a long country track so you need to take it slowly in the car.) We did end up driving everywhere as not sure we could easily walk all three kids up the long track to walk to a restaurant. Roccastrada is a really lovely Italian town it was great to walk around and hear the nonnas talking to each other through their open windows across the street. Great view from the back of the tourist information office. Lovely cottage to relax and unwind in. Pool is beautiful although quite cool in temperature (very welcome for us as it was very hot weather during our stay). The play equipment in the garden was also welcomed by the children. The stars at night were also really clear as there was not much light around to interfere which added to the romantic feel. Kitchen had what we needed but would suggest a larger pair of kitchen scissors and a spatula to get eggs out of the pan (although I guess we may be unusual in terms of how much we cook on holiday). Would definitely recommend a stay here if you want some rest and relaxation. Thanks to Riccardo and Stephania for a lovely place to stay

When arriving after dawn we could already experience how nice the (enlightened) garden and the house we would be staying for a week was. Inside we found a cosy living room with kitchenette (fruit and wine as a nice surprise), a bath room and two spacious, stylishly furnished bed rooms. In the morning we found ourselves in an astonishingly beautiful environment: a typical Toscana-style renovated house with a nice terrace and a lovely garden with swimming pool and plenty possibilities for the children to play. Very quiet, yet in the vicinity (1 km) of supermarket, shops and restaurants. We enjoyed some nice, exceptionally hot April evenings dining outside. The owners live upstairs; they are very friendly, without being intrusive. They are happy to answer your questions and give you information about where to go. Roccastrada is a good starting point to visit nice villages and towns such as Roccatederighi, Montemassi, Monticiano, Chiusdino, the abbey of San Galgano,... Val d'Orcia with Montalcino, San Quirico, Pienza, Monticchiello and Montepulciano is not that far away, as is the Monte Amiata with the towns around it and the Bagni San Filippo and Bagno Vignoni. We made very beautiful walks in the neighbourhood of Roccastrada, in Val d'Orcia and on the Monte Amiata. We have not been able to do everything we wanted to do and even apart thereof we would certainly like to come back!

We enjoyed our 2 weeks' stay at this lovely house in August so much and can only recommend this place and the hosting family! Our kids (6 and 4 years old) and we just loved the beautiful pool and the big yard, the house and the surrounding area. The apartment itself is well equipped, with fresh linens and towels every week, the beds are very comfortable, and last but not least, there is a charcoal grill we used every other day on the huge terrace, which is lined with rosemary and sage bushes. Een magische plek in het hart van Toscane. Hier kom je tot rust en geniet je elk moment van het uitzicht. Met een beetje geluk zie je reeen en everzwijnen passeren. Het zwembad is genieten om een dagje aan te hangen of na een daguistap nog even te plonsen. Geschikt voor groot en klein. Gastheer en gastvrouw zijn lief en behulpzaam. Als wij deze streek terug komen bezoeken komen we zeker terug langs!

Ein ganz besonderer Ort

Ein ganz besonderer Ort

"Mitten im Nirgendwo" der Toskana gelegen, ist diese Wohnung ein absoluter Geheimtip. Die hervorragende Lage am Waldrand ermöglicht einen Blick über den hauseigenen Olivenhain bis weit in die südliche Toskana hinein, der besonders in den Abendstunden mit einem Glas Wein sehr genossen werden kann. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts. Die sehr gepflegte private Poolanlage bietet besonders an heißen Tagen eine willkommene Abkühlung. Einzige Herausforderung ist die Anfahrt über einen recht wellenreichen Schotterweg, der an einigen Stellen ein angepasstes Fahrverhalten verlangt. Mit einem (vollbeladenen) 3er BMW war der Weg grenzwertig, jedoch grundsätzlich machbar. Die Wohnung liegt trotz ihrer sehr abgelegenen und ruhigen Lage auch für Tagesausflüge nach Siena, Grosetto, oder zu den Stränden (zu empfehlen: Le Rocchette und Feniglia) optimal. Leider bietet sich die unmittelbare Umgebung nicht optimal zum Wandern an, da es keine Wanderwege gibt und viele Wege als Privatwege in Sackgassen enden. Dafür erlebt man hier die wirklich ursprüngliche Toskana und kann ohne jeglichen touristischen Troubel z.B. bei Fabrizio im "La Rosa Blu" das hervorragende Wildschwein und den hauseigenen Wein genießen. Die im Obergeschoss des schönen Hauses wohnenden Gastgeber sind äußerst gastfreundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir möchten uns für einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in Roccastrada bedanken. Sollten wir noch einmal in die Gegend kommen, werden wir auf jeden Fall hier wieder buchen!

Die Ferienwohnung, der Pool und die Umgebung sind noch schöner als auf den Bildern. Man hat einen fantastischen Blick, der Ort Roccastrada ist zu Fuss erreichbar und man fühlt sich sofort wohl und "im Urlaub". Riccardo und Estefania sind sehr nette, zurückhaltende Gastgeber, die man jederzeit ansprechen kann und die wirklich viel Liebe in diese Wohnung und das Ambiente investiert haben. Wir können einen Aufenthalt dort wirklich empfehlen. Vielen Dank nochmal für die schöne Woche!!

We had 9 nights in Roccastrada at the „Il Poderino“ from Stefania and Riccardo. The pool is perfect, the apartment is very nice, the kitchen equipment is like feeling at home. We visited a few very good restaurants in and around Roccastrada, one of it was recommended by the owners and was a really great secret and outstanding. The sea is not far away and beautiful towns like Siena or Firenze are only a few kilometers away. We felt really warmed welcoming, thank you both for this wonderful place. Our dog was with us and it was a perfect time for us together. Hope to see you again.

Die Wohnung liegt etwas versteckt außerhalb Roccastrada mit herrlicher Aussicht. Sie ist gemütlich und toskanisch und funktionell eingerichtet. Wlan ist verfügbar. Der Pool ist wunderschön und verspricht an warmen Tagen eine tolle Abkühlung. Die Vermieter sind sehr gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit. Man sollte jedoch den Anfahrtsplan genau beachten, sonst wird es schwierig. Wir kommen jederzeit gerne mal wieder!

Wir haben den Urlaub absolut genossen. Die lange Anfahrt war sofort vergessen als wir dieses liebevoll gestaltete Anwesen mit der grandiosen Aussicht betreten haben. Der Pool war natürlich vor allem für die Kinder das absolute Highlight. Die Vermieter-Familie die mit auf dem Grundstück wohnt, haben wir kaum gesehen, was einem das Gefühl gibt dort wirklich allein zu sein. Wenn man es gern etwas ruhiger mag und wem Ausflüge zum Meer, Florenz und Co mit 1 Stunde Fahrtzeit nicht zu weit sind, der wird das Haus in Roccastrada lieben. Hier findet man Entspannung pur und wenn man das Auto mal stehen lassen will, kann man auch in den Ort schlendern (ca. 10min) und findet dort Restaurants, eine Gelateria und einen Supermarkt.

Die Unterkunft und vor allem die Lage des Hauses innerhalb der Landschaft hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Das Haus ist super ausgestattet und bietet alle Möglichkeiten dort entspannte Tage zu verbringen; im Haus, auf der Terrasse oder am/im Pool. Absolute Ruhe. Die Aussicht Richtung Küste&Meer ist noch besser, als es die Fotos vermuten lassen. Ein wenig aufpassen muss man beim Weg zum Haus selbst. An die Schotterpiste gewöhnt man sich schnell und hat nach 1-2 Anfahrten den Dreh raus. Achtung bei der Eingabe in GoogleMaps: Hier neigt das Navi dazu auf dem Weg aus dem Dort zum Haus eine viel schmalere Schotterpiste zu nutzen als es nötig wäre. Am besten mit den Gastgebern Ricciardo und Stefania einmal Rücksprache halten. Sie senden eine Anfahrtsbeschreibung. Die beiden sind sehr nett. Zurückhaltend, dennoch zuvorkommend und stets erreichbar, wenn doch mal etwas fehlen sollte. Vielen Dank für alles! Wir würden uns freuen noch einmal wiederzukommen.

Nous avons été subjugués par le cadre idyllique de la maison, notamment par la piscine. La maison est à la fois proche de Roccadrada ( 10 mn à pied) et au milieu de nulle part. Cela permet de profiter de la tranquillité des lieux et de ne pas être loin des commerces de la ville. La piscine est exceptionnelle et elle est encore mieux qu'en photo ! Par contre, nous prévenons que l'accès à la maison se fait par un chemin de terre, raide sur la partie finale. C'est le seul petit point négatif. Les propriétaires sont discrets et cela nous a parfaitement convenu.

Wir waren drei Wochen in dieser wunderschönen Ferienwohnung, die mitten im Wald liegt! "Il Poderino" ist ein wunderbar renoviertes altes Bauernhaus. Die Ferienwohnung liegt im Erdgeschoss. Die Besitzer des Anwesens wohnen im Obergeschoss und sind erreichbar, wenn man sie braucht! Sie sind überaus freundlich, aber eher distanziert, lassen ihren Gästen jeglichen Freiraum. Man hat das ganze Areal für sich alleine, inklusive des außergewöhnlich schön gestalteten Pools! Auch unser Hund hat den Aufenthalt genossen und sich auch mit den drei lieben Katzen vertragen. Es hat uns supergut gefallen und auch die Fahrzeit zu diversen Ausflugszielen, z.B. zum Meer oder auch nach Siena war ca. eine Stunde. Der Weg zur Wohnung war für uns jedoch zunächst schockierend: Steil, holprig und unbefestigt, nichts für tiefergelegte Autos! Aber wir werden uns immer gerne an diesen besonderen Urlaub 2020 erinnern, die Aussicht vermissen (an klarenTagen konnte man sogar das Meer erkennen), die wunderbare wilde Maremma mit ihrer Natur und vor allem auch die lieben Menschen mit der positiven Ausstrahlung! We (two adults, three children between three and ten years) spent a couple of weeks at Roccastrada in July. We were warmly welcomed by Riccardo and Stefania who had prepared a basket of fruits and a bottle of wine. Both Riccardo and Stefania live in the upper part of the house but are very discrete. The appartment offers all you need (two bedrooms with comfortable beds, bathroom, kitchen/living room). The kitchen could be a little better equipped. Due to fact that the house is located at the end of the road, one can enjoy the silence during day and night. The best things in a nutshell: - perfect pool which is at your own disposal - terrasse with splendid view - beaches/sightseeing locations all around in 45 minutes We can highly recommend this appartment!

Wir waren vom 28 September bis zum 07. Oktober Gäste in der Wohnung in Roccastrada. Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich und sehr sauber. Auch der Pool ist top gepflegt und wurde auch täglich gereinigt. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und auch hilfsbereit. Die Aussicht von der Wohnung und vom Pool ist phänomenal, bei klarem Wetter war das ca 35 km entfernte Meer am Horizont zu sehen. Einzig die Zufahrt zur Wohnung nicht nicht optimal, da geht es ca 1 km über einen welligen Schotterweg. Auch in Roccastrada waren um diese Zeit sehr wenig los. Der Wochenmarkt war sehr enttäuschend. Empfehlenswert ist die ca 5 km entfernte Pizzeria La Rosa Blue, dort gibt es eine sehr gute Pizza und auch Pasta aus einem Holzbackofen. Auch der Wein und das Olivenöl aus diesem landwirtschaftlichen Betrieb sind sehr empfehlenswert. Das Meer hatte noch ca 25 Grad und lud auch im Herbst noch zum Baden ein. Alles in allem eine sehr empfehlenswerte Wohung in einer traumhaften Landschaft. Wir kommen gerne wieder, dann allerdings früher im Jahr wenn noch etwas mehr los ist.

Hier gibt es nichts zu beanstanden. Die Unterkunft und die Lage sind top, vor allem auch toll für Kinder, viel Natur, wunderbarer Pool (wird jeden Abend gereinigt), sehr gute Ausstattung. Alles liebevoll eingerichtet und gestaltet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und gleichzeitig zurückhaltend, Roccastrada ist noch nicht sehr touristisch, daher angenehm und nicht überlaufen. Vieles innerhalb von ca. 50 Minuten zu erreichen (Siena, Strände, Weingüter...) Wir werden gerne wiederkommen!

Die Ferienwohnung liegt sehr idyllisch im Wald auf einem Berg, etwas abgelegen, aber dafür sehr ruhig. Die Anlage ist sauber und urig, die Küche etwas spartanisch in der Ausstattung (da sie eine Spülmaschine hat, was natürlich super ist)! Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und wir konnten jetzt auch mal den unbekannteren Teil der Toskana erkunden. Die Zufahrt ist allerdings nicht für tiefer gelegte Autos geeignet!

Wir haben mit unserem Hund einen wunderbar erholsamen Urlaub in der Natur verbracht, dabei nichts gehört, außer dem Summen der Insekten. Das Haus ist alt und urig, aber es ist alles da, was man braucht und alles perfekt sauber. Jeder Schlafraum hat ein Fliegennetz, Betten und Kopfkissen sind bequem, alle Zimmer groß genug und genug Schränke vorhanden. In der Küche war alles da und funktionstüchtig. Vor dem Haus steht ein großer Tisch mit Stühlen unter einem Sonnensegel, so das man in Sonne oder Schatten sitzen kann , wie man möchte. Einen Grill gibt es auch. Der Pool ist genauso traumhaft, wie man auf den Bildern sieht. Unser Hund hatte viel Spaß überall rumzurennen, 10 m vom Garten entfernt ist Wald, oder Olivenbaumfelder, man konnte ihn ohne Aufsicht laufen lassen. Zu Fuß ist man in 15-20 min im Dorf durch Wälder und Felder.

Alles nodig voor een vakantie, is in huis aanwezig. Veel ruimte om het huis en voor een koele duik, een fijn zwembad. 's Avonds een prachtig uitzicht over de vallei, omliggende bergen en natuurlijk de sterren. Het stoere, stenen huis ligt vlakbij Roccastrada (handig voor de boodschappen of een kopje koffie op het terras) en toch heel rustig aan de rand van het bos. Wij hebben zelfs wilde zwijnen en herten in de verte zien lopen. Vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaren. Het is ons prima bevallen.

Tolle Unterkunft besser geht es kaum, der Pool ein Traum, der Blick ins Tal und auch an der Ferienwohnung gibt es nichts zu beanstanden. Roccastrada ist ein kleiner Ort, der aber alles bietet - für Menschen die Entspannung suchen. Den schönen Strand von Alberese erreicht man in 45 Minuten. Eine unserer besten Ferienwohnungen bisher! Perfect!

Hello Steffania & Riccardo, we had a wonderful time in Roccastrade, very cosy appartment, everything was available in the kitchen we needed for the vacation. It was fantastic to have breakfast every morning outside. It was the first time that Belinda said, we should come back again. We and especially Hannah, enjoyed the pool every day. Wir sind angekommen und waren gleich im Urlaubsmodus. Das Haus mit dem Grundstück ist wundervoll. Zur Begrüßung gab es sehr zur Freude der Kinder einen großen Obstkorb und auch sonst war alles super vorbereitet. Für Kinder ist es ein kleines Paradies mit großem Trampolin, Spielgeräten und natürlich der tolle Pool. Es sind an verschiedenen Stellen Liegen zum Entspannen aufgestellt. Roccastrada ist nicht weit entfernt. Es gibt dort leckere preiswerte Pizza und Espresso, regionale Produkte, Bäcker, also alles was gebraucht wird. Wer es urig und ruhig mag ist hier gut aufgehoben. Wenn man die richtige Strecke fährt ist man in 30 min in Grosseto, 45 min - 1 h an den verschiedensten schönen Stränden und auch sonst liegt es relativ zentral für Ausflüge jeglicher Art. Riccardo und Stefanie sind sehr nett und zurückhaltend, auch Oma und Opa sind lieb und schauen öfters mal vorbei. Nach einer Woche wurden frische Bettwäsche und Handtücher für alle gebracht. Alles super.
