A short distance from sledding, skiing, and more, this pet-friendly vacation home lets you experience it all. Lake Annecy is within an easy 9-minute walk and Les Passagers du Vent is also a quick 5-minute walk away, so leave your car at the property, which offers onsite parking.

Relax in the garden (enjoy the outdoor furniture!) or sip a drink on the deck or patio of this 807-sq-ft vacation home. When you come inside, connect to the WiFi or get cozy in front of the TV (video library available). There's also a DVD player, a stereo, and a music library for your enjoyment.

As you settle into this 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom rental, you'll find a living room, a dining area, a sofa bed, and a BBQ grill. We stayed in this property for two weeks in August of 2019. The house is well-situated with a lovely view of Lake Annecy, and if that's your primary goal you would do well to rent this property. Renters should be aware, however, that the interior is quite dark, with a rustic cabin feel -- and it feels a bit dingy. We found the main surfaces (counters, bathrooms, floors) generally clean but the ceilings, stairs, windows, and light fixtures were quite dusty, some with visible cobwebs and spiderwebs. The place could use a good deep clean. Renters should also be aware that the owner attempts to show up prior to departure to "inspect" the property -- and we found his expectations to be unreasonable. We took care to leave the house better than we found it -- not just tidying the place and removing trash, but also vacuuming and dusting (I even used the vacuum attachment to clean the cobwebs and debris from the ceilings, stairs and window sills). So I was surprised to receive angry text messages from the owner because we didn't clean the toilets and we left a small number of useful items (sugar for coffee, aluminum foil, three unopened beers) in the kitchen. It's possible he was being defensive because we had complained about the cleanliness of the property, but if not, future renters should understand that he expects you not just to tidy up, but to fully prepare the unit for subsequent renters. That wasn't something we expected and we found it to be unreasonable. Despite that misunderstanding, and despite the rather surly communications with the owner, overall we still found the property to be a suitable, nicely-located, convenient base for exploring Lake Annecy. The parking is convenient, the view is truly breathtaking, and the front porch is a delightful place to enjoy any meal, day or night. The distance to the lake is rather far and steep, but still accessible for the physically fit.

A traditional French house with an outstanding main bedroom with 2 balconies which give superb lake and mountain views. An updated bathroom and then a huge attic bedroom with other beds and washing areas. Talloires can be very busy but this house and its small terrace stand far enough back from roads for the traffic NOT to be annoying. Decent parking slot and a large grassed area for private use. Owner very helpful but not intrusive. The whole area is very popular so be prepared for busy main roads. A hot-spot for cyclists, swimmers and hang-gliders.

We stayed in this property in April 2019 as a family of 2 adults and three children for fours nights. Positive - The external look of the house looks nice and attractive and reminds romantic French house. The owners contacted well by emails before the stay. The house has amazing view. Negative - - The future visitor must be aware that the price does not include sheets and towels as well as electricity and taxes although no receipt of taxes is given and cleaning fee is not included as well. The sheets fee was mentioned only after the first payment and the cleaning fee just when we arrived. - Despite the high price, the sheets are placed in a pile on a bed. - - They come to inspect the house 1 hour before the checkout time while we ate breakfast and said that the kitchen is still not clean so we need to pay another substantial amount of money in addition to the cleaning fee. - The house is VERY dusty so visitors with allergies and health problems mainly respiratory ones should avoid staying in the house. - it looks like someone tries to save money on the maintenance costs of the house as you can see it everywhere. My family stayed in A LOT of houses before all over the world and I think this is the first negative feedback I write. In summary, try to avoid. Prefer a house with higher prices which is better maintained and you will not need to be surprised by additional fees.

We have just spent a long week-end at Les Granges. It provided an excellent base from which to explore beautiful Talloires and Lake Annecy. The house has considerable character and provides wonderful views of lake and mountain.

Really loved this property - very authentic French house in-keeping with the area - views are amazing from every window and the relaxing patio. House had a welcoming feel to it. Neighbourhood area quiet but local town in easy reach by car. Steep hill walk down to town which we did not attempt as grandparents would not have managed it. Went away with two teenagers and grandparents. Grandparents found bath difficult to climb in and out of (quite deep) and would have found going up to top floor tricky. For us it was fine. No plug for bath. We would definitely return to this property. Lots to do in area and lake swimming is just incredible. Lovely local restaurants. We were well looked after by caretaker. Fabulous.

The photos of this property don’t do it justice. It is beautifully furnished and has charm and character in every corner. Really feels like a home too and not just a holiday let. The view is incredible from the patio, the first floor balcony and the windows in the second floor. Lots to do around the local area without having to go all the way annecy all the time. Boats in the town, paragliding just over the road and don’t miss the cascades d’Angon or a road trip up to Col de la Forclaz. Lovely stay, with great hosts. We would cerinaly stop here again.
