Delightful Container House with Views

7 school friends in their 60’s spent kings bday long weekend in June 26. We enjoyed very much the peace , Roos and scenery from Karinya cottage. Because of there were no neighbours, we could sing and enjoy as we wanted. Definitely the hot spa made it very special. Moreover caretakers Katrina and Graham took good care of our needs and that made a huge difference! She’s such an asset!!! I got in touch with Deb who was very accomodating and helpful in giving instructions. Highly recommend this property.

On few occasions there were power failures as a result we had no water after being in the tub as we were unaware how to get the motor started for showers . Caretakers requested to off any heaters / reverse cycle units to reduce load which we thought was not the issue. I think it would be good to get an electrician to look at the problem and get it resolved Few suggestions, would have been great for the retreat to have its own toilet. We couldn’t use it because of that. Having few strands of fairy lights above the hot tub would make it very inviting and set the mood . Perhaps if the timber steps to the hot tub can be repaired would be great as some planks were wobbly. These are minor issues.

Great location, close to Lithgow shops. Host is friendly and responsive.

Is a container home so understand that space are limited but they are some wardrobe space used up privately and leaving no space for guest. Some space in the house is not clean. There are also few things that are not working in the house which make it quite inconvenient. Especially the door lock. Is a shame the property is not being maintain as it should. Otherwise you would have repeat guest.

Great location and super cozy on rainy winters’s weekend. There were lots of effective heating options, and great kitchen facilities.

The couple staying in “The Retreat” container commented that curtains on their window would have been good, but otherwise it was all perfect!

The view and atmosphere were beautiful. Unique place to stay.

Bed in the main bedroom was extremely hard.
