Calme, propre, très bien équipée

Tolle Lage oberhalb des Ortes Ibarrangelu mit einem herrlichen Blick auf die Umgebung. Wir waren für uns und man hatte ein schönes Gefühl der Zurückgezogenheit. Die Umgebung sucht ihresgleichen. Wir haben uns ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt. Die Wege zu den Stränden lassen sich sehr zu Fuß (oder besser mit Bus) zurücklegen.

Die Geräuschkulisse war zuweilen schwer zu ertragen. In der Gegend bzw. auf den benachbarten Grundstücken wimmelt es von Hunden, die im Prinzip ununterbrochen bellen (auch nachts). Des Weiteren erfolgten während unseres Aufenthaltes umfangreiche Pflegearbeiten der Nachbargrundstücke wie z. B. Mähen, Schneiden usw. An einem Morgen wurden auf zwei Nachbargrundstücken größere Rodungsarbeiten und Feuerungen durchgeführt. Der Rauch nebelte das gesamte Haus ein. Die Asche verteilte sich auf unseren Fahrzeugen, Sachen usw. Die Sauberkeit war nicht in allen Bereichen zufriedenstellend. Die Betten waren auch eher unbequem und neigten zum Knarzen. Auf dem Grundstück befanden sich - aufgrund von Arbeiten - mehrere Nägel, die durchaus für einen platten Reifen hätten sorgen können. Ein Nagel steckte im Schuh eines der mitreisenden Kinder. Hier wäre eine größere Sorgfalt wünschenswert gewesen.

La casa ha sido reformada recientemente, por lo que todo está muy nuevo. Las habitaciones y los baños son muy amplios. La escalera interior es cómoda. El desván es un plus para niños o jóvenes, como zona de juegos y TV. El espacio exterior es perfecto para comer, relajarse, tomar el sol, etc., y también se puede utilizar el porche en caso de lluvia. Es una casa muy tranquila, donde no hay ruidos que molesten. Se agradecen los "amenities": champú, gel y pastilla de jabón en cada habitación. Además, había aceite, vinagre, sal, infusiones, detergentes para lavavajillas y lavadora, buenos trapos (que no siempre suele haber)...

La "cocina - sala TV" incluye una zona de comedor para seis personas, pero es demasiado pequeña para resultar cómoda. Los que disfrutamos del vino, echamos en falta copas suficientes; y si alguien hace, por ejemplo, un chuletón en la parrilla exterior, echará en falta cuchillos de carne. También vendría bien alguna sombrilla.

Pros: The house is lovely and spacious. The location and views are also lovely. Most of the house was tidy and clean upon arrival, through self-check-in. The amenities of the house were nice, but the supplies were too sparse. Tip: Make sure you learn how to properly work the windows. We accidentally didn’t lock them properly one day and they swung open during a storm, letting some rain in. By chance, the owners caught it and we arrived in time to clean up and dry the few dampened areas together.

Cons: Upon arrival, we had to clean dirty toilets and very greasy and dirty utensils, cookware, and dishes, before we could use them. We had to go buy many supplies, especially cleaning supplies. The property manager, Xabier, (whom we only interacted with over text for the initial arrival), said for us to go ahead and clean all ourselves and that he would reimburse us for the supplies purchased, but he never did. In fact, we never heard back from him (our call, texts) after day one of the nine nights spent. Moreover, he gave us inaccurate and inconsistent information regarding the existence of wifi in the house and where to place trash. Very disorganized and unprofessional communication. The neighbors are loud and some have multiple dogs that bark together incessantly at all hours. This became an nuisance, as did the neighbors who blow their landscaping equipment beginning at 7:00 AM, including on the weekends. We also experienced loud music all night one night. Some nights you could hear festive celebrations from the town, and that didn’t bother us, unlike the very noisy neighbors and dogs.
