The location was sublime and the owners very welcoming. Very beautiful and tranquil. Nice restaurants and groceries in nearby villages. The owners often brought us fresh produce from their garden. They were also very informative about places to go and things to do in the area.
The little beach and swimming area is wonderful. However, the rocks are hard to negotiate if you're older like me (74). My wife who is eight years younger had no problem. It is not really "beachfront" as the river is about a 10 minute walk downhill from the house. There is wonderful swimming at the nearby village of Saumane with a grassy beach as well as an outdoor café with good hamburgers and charcuterie. Note that there is only air-conditioning on the ground floor. Fortunately, the nights were cool and the owners supplied us with a fan.

The owners couldn’t have been more helpful and they spoilt us with fresh strawberries from their garden and a wide selection of confitures. The bed was comfortable and the shower decent. The area is tranquil and well placed for cycling and, with a little driving, walking.
