Voya Sifnos Mindful Stay

King Suite with Sea View. We have been to Sifnos many times and have always wanted to stay here. However, although the staff were very friendly and George met us on arrival and had organised an early check in. Breakfast ordered the night before was good and a great selection. The lady on breakfast was excellent. We felt that the accommodation was expensive and provided little shade on the terrace and the aircon upstairs was not great. George did organise an umbrella for us, which helped. The views were obstructed by the breakfast area. The loungers on the terrace and around the pool could do with a clean. Its great to be close to the port and is walkable, but a car is better for the climb back. Would think twice about staying in this room due to the 2 levels, but the other rooms looked much better on one level.

The suite was on 2 levels and on arrival George said to watch our heads going upstairs to the bedroom. We both hit our heads several times and would not want to carry suitcases up and down the stairs. No banister at top, of stairs, so a bit scary. Good that there was a bathroom downstairs as well. The shower door upstairs hit the overhead shower when we opened the door. Would be nice to have a chair on the balcony upstairs. We also hit our heads when using the kettle due to the angle of the stairs. The fridge was hard to open and it was annoying that the floors were wet when we got back from breakfast with no warning. Lack of shade outside the suite.

George was very enthusiastic and although had not been in Sifnos long had a great deal of knowledge and was keen to point out many things about the property. Near to the port and quiet. Liked the breakfast being ordered the night before and although they did not get the order correct on the first night the lady at breakfast ensured everything was right for the remainder of our stay. Good selection for breakfast. Pool was a nice size.

The fridge in the room was very noisy and there was no shade on the terrace as the sun came through the shaded roof and was directly onto the terrace. The beds around the pool were grubby and some split. When going down for breakfast, the bins were emptied and the floor cleaned, so when got back to the room the floor was wet. Would be better to wait until we had gone out for the day as this was not explained on arrival or when towels would be changed. Expensive compared to other properties on Sifnos.

We liked how friendly the staff were. They know how to communicate with the hotel guest. The food was simple but very delicious. I liked that there was no huge open buffet. Otherwise all the food goes to waste. The location and the view is amazing also. The room decor is beautiful. The whole vibe of the hotel is very calm and relaxing.

The price of the hotel is on the pricier side. It could be due to the month July. The island in general was expensive in our opinion

Location, view, new and clean

Breakfast needs to be improved. Coffee was awful, bread was not fresh, zero waste concept is good but execution was poor. Room was spacious but could not enjoy the view fully. Not value for money.
