Nômades Riverside - Adventure Hostels & Coworking

I have stayed at quite a few hostels in my life, but none have felt as warm as Nômades Riverside. The staff is absolutely amazing and work hard to ensure that every guest has a comfortable stay. Luna is the current manager and does a very good job at keeping things in order. As a digital nomad, their coworking area was perfect and had great internet. The hostel is not too big so one could work in the coworking space, outside in the hammock, or common area and still have fast internet. I was able to run hour long zoom calls with no issues. The kitchen is also very nice and constantly cleaned throughout the day. It offers a stove with four burners, small oven, air-fryer, electric kettle, blender, and a microwave. As someone who enjoys cooking, I was able to make every meal that I normally made at home. (note that it does close at 10pm/22:00) The beds are on the smaller side but still feel cozy and have privacy curtains, all around. There are three shared bathrooms that are cleaned twice a day and kept tidy. The canal with the decks are just below the hostel and are very relaxing and also fun to swim in. I felt very safe and secure, however one should know that there are no locks on the shared dorms nor the entrance. In my opinion, the location surpasses that because to enter the hostel, you must drive/walk down a steep hill and it feels private. Despite that, the overall area is very safe and people are friendly. I typically do not write reviews, especially of this length but I wanted go out of my way to share how awesome this hostel is. As travelers, we do not know what a place is like until we arrive and when I arrived at this hostel, I could immediately feel the positive energy and felt very welcomed. In conclusion, if you are looking for an affordable hostel in Floripa with good ammenties, this is a great choice.

To improve this hostel, perhaps more shared toilets and a later closing time in the kitchen would be nice.

The location near the channel/ river is amazing - the best part of the house.

It poorly maintained, all equipments in the kitchen were old, the overall cleanness is poor. It seems they don’t have workers, just the volunteers - which do the best they can though
