Kingsdown Chalet

It was so nice and relaxing a couple of nights away with friends

Kingsdown is a well maintained and attractive park. The pool is a good size and the chalet’s location is good for going to it. It is lovely to be a walk from the beach, and thanks to great weather nice to have outside eating on a veranda. The kitchen was well equipped.

There was a strong mustiness in the chalet, despite the host’s attempts to dispel it. For someone with disabilities the steep road from the beach to the park might be a problem, as would be the steep stairs to the bedrooms. The pool hours were quite short (last entrance was 3.30) and closed over lunch, plus even though pretty empty the life guard blows a whistle after 50 minutes ( you have to book a session) which on our first visit seemed unnecessary as we were the only four in the pool and only a few were coming in at 11.

Nice and tidy, beds were reasonably comfortable, great location and had use of all facilities

Heating was a bit tricky to work and WiFi was a bit slow

Pool not open due to an asbestos problem We had booked the site for the use of the pool So very disappointing 😞
