The flat itself was beautifully decorated and the kitchen supplied all I needed. The bed was comfortable. Nice sheets and pillowcases, sufficient room to hang clothes, TV that worked (after a bit of a fiddle with the control). Water in fridge, salt, pepper, oil, tea and coffee provided. As the description says, snacks also. The landlord is a friendly nice man and came to have a chat. Easy parking outside, own entrance.

What was disappointing was that on morning 1 of my two night stay, I found the shower was almost completely scaled up, so that it emitted a squirt of water- not enough to shower with, and this was barely lukewarm. I supplemented my shower from hot water from the sink (it's an electric shower). I informed the landlord, once dressed obviously, and he did come and replace the shower handset and reset the error code that the scaling up had resulted in. I also informed him the button on the shower was loose- he said this 'must have happened recently'. Well, it definitely wasn't me, and a shower does not scale up like that overnight. So, why am I even mentioning it, as the problem was fixed, and my second morning shower was fine? Firstly because it is a fundamental expectation that the shower will work, in an overnight room. Hostels, campsites and hotels costing less, all manage this. Free toothbrushes and snacks don't compensate for it not working. Secondly, because he should have checked this worked. It's clearly been a long time problem in the making. My first morning was not particularly relaxing with a cold squirt of a shower, something that is a basic requirement for an overnight stay. I was genuinely surprised that this had been left to be in the state it was, as the rest of the flat was so nicely cared for. I am also saying it so that other guests will ask, and check if the shower has been replaced- the unit has a dicey button, and problems may resurface. It is not helpful that previous reviewers must have experienced this disappointing shower- for some time- and either did not say anything, or did and gave a glowing 9 or 10 anyway, for reasons unknown. I end that here. Some instructions for the TV would be useful, would save time.
