Lovely house for a few us hiking in the area

The house was lovely and spacious and had lots of bedrooms, there was also a lovely conservatory and snug hidden away which was a lovely addition and our little girl loved playing her games in there. Bedrooms were lovely and our little girl loved the bunk beds and the twin room had a lovely view from the balcony! We had an issue with the heating but the owner responded very quick and came round to sort it out for us straight away and it worked perfectly after that and she also got a fire going for our arrival so it was warm for the children which was lovely :) we loved it and would definitely stay here again!

There was nothing we didn't like!

Well situated for Newborough and other destinations. A covered drive in as it is on the main road so no parking problems. This feels like a family home, with excellent supplies of everything you could need. Loved the conservatory and did a spot of star watching on the balcony.

The location was great and it was a lovely house.

The house needs a deep cleaning. The blinds in particular were filthy. There was thick dust under the TV and on mantelpieces. There were cobwebs everywhere and we had to clean the house. The wardrobes in main bedroom smell strongly of damp as does the downstairs bedroom. There were plug in air freshers all over the house to mask the damp smells. One of the ladies with us had a really bad reaction to the plug in freshers and was poorly all week with her chest because of them. She does suffer from asthma but these things should be banned if you look into them and they were everywhere. The main bedroom bedding is very old and discolored and was actually still damp from washing! The cooker was dirty and had to be cleaned before use. The main issue we had was the central heating. It was controlled by a mobile app which the owner had and though it came on every 2 hours for about an hour it wasn't on when needed. We had a disabled lady with us who needed to be kept warm and it was freezing especially in the mornings. We used the log burner in the evening but it was cold when we left the main room. We have lots of messages were we asked for the heating to be on more and though they said it was it clearly wasn't. There is some kind of lock for the heating in the twin bedroom which you need a pin code to access which we never had. The bedding in the twin room had a very strong perfume smell that was so bad we stripped the bedding off and slept with the duvet with no covers on. Overall what they charge for a week out of season and to have it so cold is a very poor service. Its a shame because its a lovely house let down by cleaning standards and penny pinching. As a group we stay in many air b and bs and have never had to clean and be so cold before. We left the property much cleaner than we found it though we didn't give it a deep clean because that's not our job. Still plenty of cobwebs and dirt to be cleaned.
