Dimora dei Greci

From being collected from the train station, to the superb location right by the temples, to the coolness of the building and the thoughtfulness of the decor and comfort of the furniture, we loved Dimora dei Greci. It is 20 minutes to the station, 10 to the ruins, 20 to the beach and shops. It's the kind of place we usually stay in for a week, so leaving after two nights was a pity, but I'd happily stay here again. Really a home from home.

An excellent, clean and comfortable property in a great position to explore the ruins of Paestum from (it is within the ancient city wall itself). The host was very welcoming and helpful. The property is spacious, with very good air conditioning (essential during the European heatwave) and has a good kitchen area, as well as a small secluded seating area outside. I was expecting the property to feel smaller and was pleasantly surprised. Good places to eat and drink are within easy walking distance, near or past the archaeological site entrance. The beach is further, but it is possible to walk to it.

Beautifully decorated, modern facilities but still kept the original ancient facade walls and design. The coffee machine was excellent! The host was so lovely and even offered us a ride to and from the train station. It was close to the ancient town and the host gives you a lovely summary of all the places to visit on your stay.
