Selwood Cottage Annex

We really enjoyed our stay at Selwood Cottage. It’s a charming, cosy cottage with lots of character and a lovely atmosphere. It was a great base for exploring Frome and the beautiful surrounding area of Somerset. The cottage was comfortable and welcoming, and we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We especially appreciated the peaceful location and the opportunity to relax and spend quality time together. For longer stays, a washing machine and vacuum cleaner would be useful additions and would make the cottage even more convenient for guests. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily come back. We would definitely recommend Selwood Cottage to others visiting Somerset.

Cosy, homely and great location

As we were there for 2 nights we needed more teabags and there was only a few in the pot between 3 of us for 2 nights, however not a huge issue, didn’t know where to put the bin at the end of our stay

well equipped, clean and comfortable. Lovely quiet location on the edge of frome. Convenient base for Town and surrounding attractions. Host responsive and helpful.Dog friendly.

Minor point but we got lucky with the lovely weather so would have been really nice to have had a small outside seating area. Parking bay is very wide so perhaps a small area adjacent to the house with a cafe table and 2 chairs. More local information in the welcome pack would be useful for example how to get to Frome town when walking, local attractions such as longleat etc etc Front door lock in need of lubrication

The Annex needs a sign. When I first went there I didn’t know exactly which building it was, and while it was clear someone was home, nobody came to help me. I left and then came back, by then a gate was closed and it became more obvious which building it was. I still had to ask for help with the key which turned out to be my problem, but a bit of a personal welcome would have been great. Also you pay a cleaning bill and then have a list of things to do before you leave. The Annex does not really look like the advertised photo.
