Unicorn Reborn - Peaceful Rentals

We rented Casa Limon and I was such an amazing place to stay. We were weclomed to the property with a sweat lodge, and it is really well placed near everything in San Marcos. I am thankful to the staff for making sure we had everything we needed and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Die Lage in San Marcos war schön und entspannt, der Garten und die Terrasse einladend. Die Küche war gut organisiert und man konnte auch mal kochen. Der Manager war sehr nett und freundlich, das Sportzentrum neben dem Bungalow ist ein wunderbarer Ort für junge Menschen in San Marcos.

An der Unterkunft war alles ok, wir waren eher von San Markos enttäuscht, dass wir seit zwei über 20 Jahren besuchen. Am Eingang des Dorfes werden riesige Gebäude errichtet, die die Sicht auf den See versperren und dem Ort den früheren Charme des relaxten und entspannten nehmen. Außerdem ist uns aufgefallen, dass nun das Abwasser aus allen Häusern und Hotels direkt in den See abgeleitet wird, wie schade für die Umwelt. Das haben wir auch extrem in Panajachel gesehen.

The central location was very convenient. Surprisingly quiet for the middle of town. The staff were very pleasant and easy to work with. The bed in the second room was comfortable. Check in was easy.

Unicorn could be amazing (LOVED the quiet garden setting), but sadly there are many things that need repair and updating. Hot water was non-existent in the showers, and the floors flooded. Basic functions like faucets are outdated and barely work. The kitchen and cookware/dishware etc was sub standard. Fridges were filthy. The sheets in the first room I stayed were so used they felt gross to sleep on. I've stayed in much better maintained hostels for less. I hope the owner sees this review and makes some repairs. The unicorn is a real gem, just needing some polish!
