Xeliter Green One Playa Dorada

We had a wonderful stay at Xeliter Green One in Puerto Plata. The property is modern, clean, peaceful, and perfect if you prefer a quieter atmosphere over a crowded all-inclusive resort. The rooms were spacious, good beds, the grounds were beautiful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The beach was absolutely gorgeous, and my family and I spent most of our time there! Most of the hotels are located within the Playa Dorada area, which also has a nearby mall and activities for families. My 4-year-old especially loved the horse carriage ride around the area for a few bucks. A few areas could still improve, particularly the food options, some minor maintenance details, and the WiFi, which was not always reliable. However, overall it was still a relaxing and comfortable experience. It’s a great option for families or couples looking for a calm getaway in a beautiful setting. Important note: it’s about an hour and a half drive from Cibao International Airport (Santiago de los Caballeros), so plan accordingly if you’re arriving via STI. Renting a car is definitely worth it if you’re comfortable driving, as taxis can cost a bit more. Uber is also not very reliable or efficient in the DR, so be prepared to spend a little extra on transportation if you plan to use it to get around.

Nice and clean and new

The room was clean and modern and had all the amenities of a kitchenette. The property had a huge pool and its own beach club which was very nice, the staff were friendly and helpful. The whole property still has construction going on, it didn't bother us at all and we didn't hear it from the room. Overall very good value for money. I do wish the shower had hotter water and better water pressure.
