About this cabin rental
Located in the beautiful piney woods of East Texas, just minutes away from Lake Cypress Springs, this cabin provides a rustic retreat for your next vacation! This wonderful stay features amazing on-site resort amenities, including our beautiful pool with water features, fishing pond, dog parks, general store, laundromat, exercise and game rooms, playground/picnic area, community fire pit and more all located within walking distance on the resort grounds! Less than four miles to the boat ramp, marina, and overlook park located on Lake Cypress Springs!
This Rustic Retreat has an outdoor wood burning fireplace, grill and large wood sitting area on the front porch. the open layout of this cabin offers a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom, a sunlit living area with smart TV and WIFI. The bathroom is accessible through the master bedroom and living area. The master bedroom had a smart TV king size bed with two closets and a built in dresser. The loft includes two full sized beds with beanbags and games for kids! This cabin comfortably sleeps 2 adults and 4 children.
Things to know:
Loft is between 3-4 feet tall
Pet friendly with a fee
Parking Notes: parking varies between houses no more than two vehicles per cabin.
Security deposit is equal to one nights stay and will be refunded within 7 days if there is no damage and checkout requirements are met.
Checkout instructions are available in each cabin (General Information binder).

We enjoyed staying here for my husband’s birthday. The area is nice and feels safe. The property has been well taken care of and the cabin has most everything you need. We didn’t get too hot or too cold in the cabin. It was easy to let the kids play in the loft or outside and still be able to see them. Jennifer was very responsive and pleasant to work with.

My oldest sister and I came to Mount Vernon to visit our little sister that lived nearby. The location was in close proximity to the lake and Mount Vernon proper. I would definitely stay again!

My husband and I came into town to visit family and stayed here for a whole week and it was perfect. The cabin was just what we were looking for.
-less than 5-10 minutes to Lake Cypress, Walleye Park, Overlook Park and the Cove Restaurant which is right on the lake and ~12min to Mt Vernon and the grocery store.
- Brand new cabin with a full kitchen and everything needed to cook. Gas grill worked amazingly too.
-There was a handheld shower hose (instead of just a fixed wall showerhead) in the shower which was awesome bc that’s a must for me to wash my long hair!
-The king size bed was comfortable w plenty of pillows.
- The AC units (2) were easily adjustable and kept the place nice and cool, which is imperative in a Texas summer!
- The covered porch was so nice to sit and enjoy a cold drink w a nice ceiling fan to keep ya cool.
We didn’t use the fireplace but I can imagine it would be SO NICE in the Fall/Winter.
- The onsite laundry facility was brand new and so convenient. 4 commercial washers and dryers that you could pay for either w quarters or the PayRange App. They worked great and everything was clean.
We didn’t use the shower facility (there were several individual, completely private showers (6?)
but I looked into one and it had beautiful tile and was very clean and smelled sanitized.
The area was quiet and we felt very safe. Jennifer and her husband were very welcoming and we just felt like part of the family!
We would definitely stay again and I highly recommend The Pines RV And Cabins Resort.
