Simple, cosy guesthouse with everything a family needs.

We stayed at Trandafir Guesthouse for three nights while visiting LEGOLAND Billund with our children, and it was a lovely experience. I had originally booked a family room with a shared kitchen, but on arrival we were kindly offered an upgrade (due to last minute cancellation) to the whole house for an extra fee - such a pleasant surprise! The apartment was clean, warm and quiet, with everything we needed for travelling with kids: a kitchen, washing machine and plenty of space to relax after long days in the park. The hosts were friendly and easy to communicate with, and the location (about 20 km from LEGOLAND) was perfect for day trips. It’s not a luxury stay, it’s simple and homely, but that’s exactly what made it perfect for us. Highly recommend to families who prefer calm surroundings and a bit of independence while travelling.

Excellent place to stay, very close to Legoland

We've visited this place for the second time. If you like a local stay, this your place to be. The owner is very kind and willing to help, the rooms are clean and have everything you need, the shared kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own breakfast, lunch and dinner. And of course, the location is great, it's only a 15min drive to Legoland.

Just some minor things. Maybe a washing machine would be a great addition to the shared kitchen.

Do not trust the things you are promised before your trip or things you are told during your stay.

Room was very cold. Discount tickets (50%) to Legoland were not offered even they were promised beforehand. Electricity had a lot of problems, it was breaking many times. Just some of facts to mention. Biggest reason for bad feeling is related to house keepers and their lies. When we complained about our experiences finally to Booking.com, house keeper answered that we were just drank and that was the reason why we expressed our disappointment. And we are family with small child and not any alcohol was used during our trip. Based on that, I would like to give one tip to other travellers: choose some other guest house if you can, and if you are talking about compensations, ask them literally because otherwise promised things do not mean anything. And to give some perspective to this feedback: there were tho families that we met during our stay: other one wanted to leave in the middle of the booking and other one did not want to stay at all when they saw the room.

Comfy beds. Free parking. Full kitchen. Powerful shower. Peaceful location. Not far from Legoland.

Greetings by the man was very strange. He seemed confused/put out that we had arrived and just ushered us to the room and said leave the key in the door when you leave. We shared a kitchen with another room which was fine. The porch area to our room was also shared but there was a floor to ceiling glass window that went into the porch with no curtain so we felt very exposed. It also meant that when our neighbours turned the light on in the shared porch it just lit our room up at night. I spoke to our neighbours to explain because they wouldn't have had a clue and they were very respectful and knew to be quiet as our son was sleeping and tried their hardest to limit the light going on. The electrics also didn't work from the main plug but luckily the plug at the light switch did. Basically it was very basic and it was a comfy peaceful sleep but just very basic compared to the other stays on our trip. We're very easy going and just got on with these things, others may not.

It was a very good meal, and they had very yummy stuff in the kitchen. Eg: They had chocolate for chocolate milk. They were very friendly, also with our dog And they are preparing an area for kids.

Exceptional

Such a cozy and nice place with a warm and kind host. Everything was clean and as in the photos. It also takes about 20 minutes to get to Legoland which makes this place a perfect one to stay for a night or two.

A-lot of noice coming i from other rums and a glass wall not good in a bedroom across public hall way without curtain or any chance to block out. Irritating to wake up every time someone passes the hallway. Beds to hard to sleep on.

Superb

The host was very very kind, gave us welcome drinks. The room was small, but super clean, bed linen smelled very good. The room was in an old house, there were horses and rabbits, that our children enjoyed a lot.

The kitchen was shared with another room and had some strange smell, but there were all needed things, even coffee, cacao powder, salt, sugar etc.

Lovely ranch type accommodation

Our familly liked that it is easily reachable with a bus from Bilund center, from Legolend and Airport (google maps shows good schedule, 166 bus). It was cozy and comfy for our family. We stayed two nights and each evening still had a short walking arround and could feel a calm life and spring blossoms around. There were comfortable beds, nice and clean bedsheets. Kitchen in the other space with everything you need. Thank you!

Our great first time in Denmark

The place was very clean and well provided, in a very beautiful natural area, easily accessible. The bus station is right across the road. The host is very accommodating and helpful and genuinely glad to receive guests.

Good value for the money

Very friendly host, good location, very good price and reasonable close distance to Legoland. Free parking at the house, very smooth check-in and check out.

The room was quite small for entire family, no space to fit in table or storage. If you only 2, shall be no problem. If you only plan to sleep here, no issue at all. Also the shared kitchen is quite spacy, so you can compensate there.

Gab keinen Geschirrspüler, war aber kein Problem für uns. (dafür Waschmaschine und Trockner) Etwas kühl in einem der 2 Schlafzimmer.

Die Lage zu billund ist super. Die Anlage mit Garten und Terrasse toll. Zimmer okay, gemeinschaftsküche unterhaltsam, man kann Erlebnisse austauschen und die Sprache auffrischen.

Miły duński dom na prowincji.

Wszystko ok. Dużo miejsca to jest największy plus - byliśmy w pokoju rodzinnym. Na dole kuchnia i salon z dużym stołem, na górze dwie sypialnie. Prysznic trochę ascetyczny ale nie stwarzało to jakiegoś problemu. Dostępne wszystkie akcesoria kuchenne, lodówka, kuchenka, czajnik. Na dworze duże podwórko (grill). Blisko do Legolandu (20 minut), spokojna okolica choć przy drodze.

Jedyne co jest do poprawy to obecność os, z którymi musieliśmy się zmagać. Mają gdzieś gniazda i wlatują do środka. Byłaby dziesiątka ale przez osy obniżam do 9.

Til prisen et ok sted, men værelset var noget trangt. Meget sødt og imødekommende personale.

Meget befærdet vej lige op af stedet. Der var ikke rigtig nogle steder at gå tur ud fra stedet. Værelset var noget lille uden mulighed for at vi kunne sidde og spise eller arbejde på værelset. Der var 2 store dobbeltsenge som fyldte det hele. Meget tæt på naboen. Toilettet løb. Rummet var rent men ikke pænt.

Lovos su reguliuojamomis padėtimis, o pagalvės ir čiužiniai – itin patogūs. Puikiai išsimiegojome ir nuostabiai praleidome laiką. P.S. Fint til en enkelt overnatning, men for dyrt i forhold til faciliteterne.

Fin størrelse værelse, men noget proppet med de to senge og dejligt med eget bad og toilet. Pænt rent og en god seng med god dyne og pude. Køkkenfaciliteter ok. Lækker kaffe, opvaskemaskine og godt med køleskab med frostbox. Fin cykelsti til at lufte hund på, og man kunne gå ind til Egtved.

Jeg manglede generelt oplysninger forud for opholdet. Fx om parkeringsforhold, indtjekning o.l., måtte fx rykke for svar vedr. ankomsttidspunkt og fik aldrig svar vedr. betaling. Støj fra større vej. Og så var der simpelthen mega koldt på værelset, jeg kunne ikke få varmen til at virke på hverken værelse eller håndklædevarmer. Brugte alle dynerne på værelset. Gratis Wi-fi, men jeg blev smidt af flere gange. Ikke stærkt nok til at jeg kunne internetdele med medbragt computer, så det måtte jeg droppe. Man skulle udenfor for at komme til køkkenet, som var ligeså koldt. Ingen Tv eller skrivebord på værelset.
