Art Apartment In Mamila - Art & View

The apartment was just what we were looking for, walking distance from the old city, across the street from the Great Synagogue, and near Ben Yehuda. There is also a very nice supermarket a short walk from the building entrance. The apartment came with ample space for our family as well as all we needed to keep our food hot for Friday night dinner and Shabbat morning breakfast. Don't be fooled by building exterior the apartment is modern and spacious with 4 very nice size bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms with an additional small bathroom in the hallway. The host were in contact with us and responded very fast. If your looking for a nice spot for your entire family I would highly recommend this apartment.

Beautiful, huge apartment in a fantastic location. Clean. Communicative and accommodating host. Grocery store within 1 minute walk. Nice balconies with swings. Washer and Dryer were a welcomed amenity, as we had been traveling 2 weeks already and had SO MUCH laundry to do.

Our bus driver was not familiar with the location and so it was a little difficult to determine WHICH building was ours right off the bat. The host was VERY quick to respond and send photos of the exterior/entrance -- but it probably would have been more helpful if we had had those before we arrived.

Someone was there to meet us and explain everything about the property. The property was large, well appointed, with bathrooms in every room. We were extremely comfortable. The location was central. The kitchen was well equipped for both weekday and Shabbat. Private parking and good internet.

The outside of the building is a little, surprising. I couldn't believe such a nice apartment was in a building that looks not so great from the outside. Don't get scared when you pull up. It gets better inside :)

First, the owners(Yonatan and Reul) are great, and took care of everything that came up. While we had some minor issues, they were quite responsive and took care of everything. The apartment was affordable for our group of 8, and the two kids had their own room. It was comfortable, and has a washer and dryer. The kitchen is pretty well equipped, but is not stocked (salt, oil, etc. is not present). The showers have hot water timers...with an option to leave hot water on all the time. This allows guests the option of using less electricity to heat water.

I am going to list a bunch of minor things I wish I had known, but I wish to reiterate that we had a really good stay here, and I do recommend Art Apartment In Mamila. Two dishwashers were broken. Once alerted, the owners took care of it promptly. The location is at the far end of Mamila. While equidistant from many great locations, renters should know that it is a 15 minute walk to these locations. Noise: Our room's window was located right above a grocery store's industrial trash compactor. It was LOUD. I am not a light sleeper, but it was really loud, starting very early in the morning. Two of the Heat/AC units were problematic. Yonatan provided a helpful video that showed how to use them, but problems persisted: In one room, the unit worked, but would switch to AC in the middle of the night. I reset it, but either a schedule was retained, or there was an issue (perhaps user error). In Room#2, the exact same model just didn't work. The video instructions which worked in one room didn't work in this room. Coffee maker either doesn't work, or has the wrong size of coffee cartridges. Instructions/Documentation would be helpful for Heat/AC units, coffee maker, and hot water switches.
