We stayed at Kythera Secret Suites (the Anoi upper apartment), and from the very first moment we experienced true Greek hospitality. The welcome and check-in by the owner’s family set the tone — warm, thoughtful, and genuine.
As soon as we opened the door, the fresh, clean scent was inviting. The apartment is modern yet cozy, with tasteful design, a fully equipped kitchen, modern appliances, and a homely feel. The bathroom was spacious and even had a washing machine — very convenient for a longer stay.
The fridge was stocked with water, refreshments, and milk, while coffee, sugar, spices, olive oil, pastries, and fresh fruit were waiting for us — a generous and thoughtful touch (what more could one ask for?).
The location in Viaradika is perfect, right in the middle of the island, making it easy to explore every corner of Kythera. Giorgos, our host, and his family were simply amazing — attentive, kind, and always making us feel at home.

Suitable for self-caterers with a car. The village where the facility is located is outside the beaten track and has no shop, mini-market, bakery, bar or restaurant. Any service is 5km away minimum. The facility is new. Some parts of it are unfinished.
We had requested breakfast at the hotel for the first day, knowing that the place where the hotel is located was quite isolated. On the day of our arrival, we were told we could not have it.
We repeatedly asked for two extra pillows but did not get any and ended up buying them.
The owner, who speaks English and gave us some tips on where to eat around the island over the phone, was not around during our stay and we could only occasionally reach him on the phone. The person who received us at the facility and who was around during our stay, was a kind lady who unfortunately did not speak a word of English. Cleaning services are not provided daily.
