Villa Stella

This villa was utterly perfect for us. The house is made up of a main building and a single extension, but all one large house. There’s a big kitchen, dining (opening out onto the outside patio) and living area with a/c, a bathroom and a single bedroom off the living area, which the a/c serves well. Then up the corridor towards the main house there’s another single bedroom, with a wall mounted safe and a/c. Carrying on through there’s a massive lounge with 2 good quality double sofa beds, TV, a door outside and a/c. Then this leads through to 3 rooms - a double bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Upstairs there’s a bathroom (with bath), another kitchen, the biggest double bedroom of the place and then a twin room. There’s ample storage in each room and you can use the house as 3 separate areas for 3 groups. There are cooking essentials in the kitchen, olive oil, salt, sugar; and there’s lots of pots and pans to use. There’s a generous fridge freezer, microwave, Krupps coffee machine (takes Nespresso pods – cheap own brand ones at the deco supermarket round the corner). Outside is great too, lots of room around the house, a small olive grove, lime trees (I may have taken a 1 or 2 for iced tea and a G&T!), grassed areas with beautiful trees and shrubs. The patio area again is generous with two plastic tables, a parasol, a double swing seat, 4 loungers, 4 very comfy large plastic chairs and of course the pool area, which is in the far corner. We did have one hiccup on the first day as the lawn sprinklers came on at 3pm, which was hilarious, as we tried to dodge the sprays! A quick text to Peppe and the gardeners came the next day to set them for 9am instead. The pool is great, around 5 feet deep and ample for a little swimming (not long lengths!) and games. There’s a robot cleaner that we were shown how to use, which is fun to watch do its stuff! TIP: When you arrive the Brown/black gate in the pic attached is the gate you need for the car parking.

Nothing - everything was perfect. We text the hosts Peppe and Tomas when we got our hire car and they met us at the villa. Such lovely guys, couldn’t be more helpful! They even got us a pair of crutches for my wife after I text to ask where we could buy some because of an injury! Handover was simple and we felt like it was our home for the 10 days we were there! The Deco supermarket is a short 5 minute walk - when walking just turn right out the gates and right at the end of the street and you can't miss it. Just watch the road - Italian drivers are tricky customers! Grazie mille Peppe y Tomas!

The property was lovely and big, beautiful views. We loved the swimming pool. Outside was spacious.

The only issue was walking to the local shop. Road very narrow and cars drive along the road very fast.
