A rare gem, beautiful small hotel in a beautiful landscape.

Wonderful location and a beautifully presented hotel in every way, design, furnishings and attention to detail. The staff and Mary the owner are so friendly and hospitable, nothing is too much trouble. Once they have their pool why go anywhere else.

Great room with a fantastic host that shared some amazing and heart-warming stories with me!

The host Mary is fantastic! I had a very warm and welcome feeling when I arrived. She explained everything to me and gave me some tips when i said that i wanted to explore Todi. While arriving and the day before leaving, I had some good conversations with Mary. She told me how she ended up buying this property and rebuilding everything from scratch to what it is today. You can feel that she's passionate about everything she does and her homemade marmellata di zucca is something i didn't experience before. Definitely one of the best marmellata i've ever had! You can taste all the love and passion she put's into her breakfast and the complete experience at Hortus. Mary is definitely one of those persons that got her heart in the right place and share's her joy with her guests :)

Very much recommended stay

Friendly staff, very good breakfast with delicious sweet and savoury products like homemade cakes and good quality local hams and cheese. Comfortable room with very good bed and pillows. The food in the restaurant is good and having dinner recommended. Good location to explore the region.

A hidden gem of Umbria - we can't wait to be back soon!

We absolutely loved our stay in Hortus! A newly constructed hotel with tastefully furnished rooms and beautiful views of the Umbrian countryside. Manuela, one of the owners, was so kind to us and really cared about our experience (we were a group of friends, some of which have never been to Umbria). We would strongly recommend you also dine in the restaurant as the food is out of this world!!! The chef, Manuela's mum, cooks so well and puts all her heart and soul in her dishes that you will never want the dinner to finish. Great selection of wines too! We felt so sad to leave Hortus, but can't wait to be back soon. Thank you Manuela and your team for all the love and care!

So much heart, care, and attention!

I don’t even know where to start! The property was lovely and easy to get to. The rooms were very comfortable with modern touches. The staff was extremely welcoming and it felt like a true home away from home stay. I also had some of the best meals during my stay.

Everything is perfect!!! 완벽한 숙소!!!

Gioseppe and Chef Maria(his mother) are very kind and great hosts. Their warm welcome make us comfortable and forget about tiredness of our travel. They said their priority is cleanness, and indeed they maintain absolutely clean bedroom, bathroom, and patio. Chef Maria’s food is excelent - no explanation is needed, it’s just perfect.

Perfect! comfortable rooms, amazing view, amazing food!

everything! the location is perfect, very close to the roads, easy access. the hotel is very beautiful, modern decoration, the room is very comfortable, when you wake up the view is amazing! Giuseppe, Nona Mary and Manoela are very kind and helpful, we were traveling with our parents and everything was perfect!! the breakfast is from out of this world, all made with organic local products, it is incredibly delicious! Nona Mary is a first class chef, my advice is to try dinner at least twice during your stay. if you want an Italian experience, you have to stay here.

So Soulful !

1. hospitality, it was what it makes perfect and comfy stay. they are more than kind, willing to sort out our needs. It was the greatest. Especially, the madam and gentleman, the chief chef was amazing, kind. the chef even came to the table and explain to us how to make the food and asked us what it taste like. So soulful food and hospitality! 2. facility, it is like 5 star hotel grade. super clean, netflix, other film platforms was ready. particularly I loved the bed and pillow. It was super cozy! 3. Food, it was beyond my expectation. I tried expensive cuisine in cities, but dinner here was much better than what is popular in downtown. relaxed, comfy. overall, whatever you expect, it is more & better than what you think! Strongly recommended!!

We loved it and we will be back.

Delicious breakfast and dinner. Very good wine selection. Super friendly family that runs it with a heart. It was a pleasure to come back at the evening and we always left with a smile. Additional benefits are the herb-fragrance from the gardens right next to the appartments as well as the feel-good cats that are always there to say hi and bye.

A good place with great food and service

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hortus Natural Living. Manuela, Pasquale and their staff were so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. They looked after us very well and really deserve to enjoy great success with their place. The food was particularly good and evening meals were a treat- they also have a good wine list. The rooms were stylish and contemporary and our room had a lovely garden facing terrace. All in all our stay was very comfortable and we would readily recommend Hortus to others.

Exceptional

Simply put, everything was perfect. Excellent service from friendly hosts who also speak very good English. Rooms are clean, in good condition and have high quality furniture. Food in the restaurant was simple and amazing. Breakfast includes also yoghurt, fruits and cereal in addition to traditional Italian sweet treats. Everything for the visit was convenient and very well taught.

Esperienza indimenticabile: un posto immerso nel verde , dove Mary e Giuseppe ci hanno coccolati e viziati con le colazioni SUPERBE e le camere arredate con gusto e ben pulite. La signora Mary ci ha deliziati con colazioni indimenticabili, sia dolci che salate , con succhi, torte, dolci, formaggi salumi genuini appartenenti all’agriturismo della zona a “Km 0”. La Reception, la sala e la camera erano arredate con molto gusto ed ogni pezzo appartenente ad un suo stile ben studiato nei minimi particolari, con occhio attento all’ illuminazione. L’Hortus É FAMIGLIA! Sicuramente torneremo in questo posto “UNICO” che ha rapito una parte del nostro cuore. Traumhaft schön und menschlich erhebend

Eine wunderschöne Anlage mit herrlichem Ausblick Richtung Todi. Ideal für Ausflüge in das südliche Umbrien. Schöne, neue, absolut ruhige Zimmer. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Wir haben wunderbar geschlafen. In der ganzen Anlage wird auf biologisch nachhaltiges Wirtschaften geachtet, was uns besonders gut gefallen hat. Das Frühstück wurde für jeden von uns, wie für alle Gäste, nach unseren eigenen Wünschen individuell aus einem reichhaltige Angebot zusammengestellt und an den Tisch (wenn die Sonne scheint, auf der Terrasse mit dem herrlichen Ausblick Richtung Todi) serviert. Und am Abend konnten wir, wenn wir wollten (was wir wollten!!), die kulinarischen Genüsse der exzellenten (!) Köchin und darüber hinaus herzerwärmend lebendfrohen Mary, der sympathischen, lebensfrohen Herrin des Hauses und der Küche genießen. Alle sind total umsichtig, hilfsbereit und verbreiten gute Laune. Alles in allem nur empfehlenswert!!!

Prachtige accommodatie!!! Mooie tuin, terras en uitzicht. We hebben heerlijk gegeten en de kamer was zo schoon! Heerlijk bed alles klopt hier! Vlakbij Todi en andere leuke plaatsjes. Ontzettende aardige familie die het bedrijf runt, je voelt je thuis. Moeder kookt, vader onderhoudt de tuin en moestuin. Goed ontbijt geen overvloed alles vers, lokale producten.

Esperienza eccellente con un solo piccolo difetto: Mery e Giuseppe siete troppo fantastici! Scherzi a parte, abbiamo soggiornato presso Hortus Natural living e l’esperienza è stata davvero eccellente sotto ogni punto di vista. L’accoglienza è stata calorosa, il personale sempre gentile e attento alle esigenze degli ospiti. La camera era impeccabile: pulita, silenziosa e dotata di ogni comfort. Gli spazi comuni sono curati con gusto e l’atmosfera generale è rilassante e raffinata. Il ristorante merita una lode a parte: piatti deliziosi, materie prime di alta qualità da vero ristorante stellato. La colazione, abbondante e varia, e soprattutto niente self service, tutto servito al tavolo... Dobbiamo tornare per assaggiare altri piatti preparati dall'adorabile Mery. Consigliatissimo!

Mi è piaciuto tutto! Dall'estetica della struttura, curata nei minimi dettagli e sostanzialmente nuova, passando alla qualità eccelsa del cibo, per finire con la gentilezza del personale. Ringraziamo in particolare la signora Maria che è affettuosa, presente ed una maga in cucina! La portiamo nel cuore e ci ripromettiamo di tornare sicuramente!

Mary, Giuseppe, tutta la famiglia e lo staff sono stati eccezionali. Come sentirsi a casa: gentilezza, disponibilità e piatti cucinati con i loro prodotti a km 0 e con il cuore. Colazione con le torte fatte in casa top così come l'aperitivo e la cena (troppe cose buone da elencarle tutte)! Tappa obbligatoria se si passa in quelle zone! Da ritornare assolutamente!

La location è veramente fantastica, nuova,pulitissima,ma il valore aggiunto è Mary,proprietaria e chef dalle mani d oro. Non ho mai mangiato delle torte così buone e ricercate nelle abbinate e le sue marmellate erano strepitose!!!! Entusiasmo travolgente e voglia di fare e sperimentare senza fine.....
