About this house rental
Welcome to Longview Lakehouse! We are located in a private lake community on Candlewood Lake in Brookfield, CT. Access to the lake, private beach, playground, basketball and volleyball courts! This cozy, newly updated home boasts 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with spacious living room & pellet stove, a dining area, and a finished walkout basement. We are also pet friendly! Wedding, Girls Getaway & Couples Retreat add-ons available :)

Our home was designed with relaxation in mind. The decor is a mix of Scandinavian and Bohemian with touches of Mid-Century Modern accents. The lake house is walking distance to the private beach and only a 3 minute drive to Echo Bay Marina, where guests can rent a boat, jet ski, or go water skiing!
Outside features include a fire pit, patio with outside dining table/chairs, gas BBQ, and a fenced in backyard on 3 sides for added privacy. We also have outdoor games in our shed for the whole family to enjoy: corn hole & badminton. The outdoor space is great for a daytime BBQ with friends/family or a quiet night around the fire pit making s'mores.
Inside, our home has a ton of beautiful natural light in all rooms, and is very peaceful and quiet. In the living room, you'll find a comfortable vegan leather sofa and 50" smart TV - equipped with Netflix, Peacock and Disney + subscriptions. We also have a few books and games for guests to enjoy - Chess/Checkers, Jenga, Uno, a deck of cards, puzzles, and kids toys!
Our kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, electric stove, coffee maker, refrigerator/freezer, pots/pans, and all the necessary essentials for making a delicious meal.
Our sitting room has 4 comfortable Scandinavian chairs situated around our easy-to-use pellet stove - perfect for a cozy night in! We also have a finished basement with an additional pellet stove, TV, and sliding glass door to the backyard. This space can be used to sleep a 5th guest, as we have an air mattress in the basement closet.
Upstairs you will find the beautiful primary bedroom with a queen bed, comfortable bedding, sitting chair, and workstation. Across the hall is our stylish secondary bedroom with a full size bed and another workstation! We've got you covered if you work from "home." Both rooms have double closets with tons of space. In between the bedrooms is our updated full bathroom equipped with a tub/shower combo and removable hand held shower head. You can also find luxury bath towels, hand towels and wash-clothes in the bathroom closet.
The lake house is super family friendly with a pack n play, high chair, kids toys/books and night lights. It's also perfect for couples wanting to get-a-way for a fun trip on the lake surrounded by nature, breweries and vineyards. Check out my guest guidebook to see all the things to do in the area.

Spent a month with my Dad and the family dog. We were trying to escape the summer heat in Florida. Location and communication with owner was great! Description of home was pretty accurate, but stairs were quite steep for an senior citizen. The amenities were great such as the golf cart that you can drive down to the private beach. I highly recommend for family and groups.

We had an excellent stay. The home was perfect for our family of 4. Great location for attending a wedding at the Candlewood Inn. Close to Down the Hatch and Echo Bay marina where we were able to rent a pontoon for the day. We took full advantage of the private beach area and playground.

My husband, son and I loved this house which is tucked away near Candlewood Lake's shores. It's exactly as pictured and described and also includes a golf cart to use to see the surrounding community. Our guests also loved the house and were full of compliments. Perfect layout for a couple or a family. Our son used the private lower level. My husband and I had the upstairs to ourselves. Our host was communicative and welcoming. We would definitely stay at this location again when we are back in the area.

We had a family wedding at Christmastime at the Candlewood Inn. We stayed at Longview Lakehouse and it worked out perfectly. The wedding venue is super close. Our adult kids and two grandkids who live in the area came the next day and we had our family Christmas together! We played games, ate dinner, and exchanged gifts. The house is lovely and comfortable. Everyone agreed
