The BBQ Plate wasn't as clean as we would have liked, on arrival. We ran out of BBQ gas right at the very end - so we couldn't 'burn-off' the plate and leave it as clean as we would have liked. A full gas bottle for every let should be provided. A better internet / wi-fi connection would be handy - but might not be in the control of the provider?

The house was in a great location—close to town—and spacious enough for two families, with plenty of potential to be a lovely stay in autumn or spring. However, there were a few things that made our stay less comfortable than expected.

The house was very cold, and aside from the fireplace (which didn’t heat the entire space), there were no other heaters provided. This makes me assume it would also be very hot in summer, as there were no air conditioning units. The hot water in the showers wasn’t really hot—especially uncomfortable in such a cold house. The stove light didn’t work, which made cooking difficult; I had to use my phone torch to see. There was a coffee machine, but no coffee capsules were provided, which was a bit disappointing. We also received a note on arrival mentioning a quick changeover and asking us to text if we left earlier than 10am. It made us feel rushed before we had even settled in.
